Hey all, I'm wondering how to attach two large (and relatively heavy) pieces of fodder together for a custom. Glue seems impractical, because it seems like I'd have to empty the whole container just to get them to stick! I know this seems unorthodox, but would pieces of duct tape work? They would end up getting covered by other pieces of fodder, and I'm just not sure what else to use.

I'm having trouble imagining exactly what you mean, but if you have a drill you can try drilling holes and using pins/pegs to hold them together

If it helps, I'm attempting to attach the limb of a voyager class transformer, which is approx. 7 inches tall, to a leader class one, which is a little over or around a foot tall. The limb is basically a rectangular block of plastic, so it has too much weight to be secured by glue alone.
Putting in pins sounds like it'd work, but idk how to go about doing that. Any advice?
Sorry if my description is too vague, I cant seem to find the right words to describe this. I'll try and provide a picture later if I can.

There are two things I would suggest; first is a different glue. I have found that Loc-Tite's Stick-N-Seal, though noxious and a bit messy, will hold a huge chunk of a plastic deck table together with no problem. If your part is really heavy, you could use that or a combination of glue and screws. In fact, you can find screws that can actually work with your model and look good, especially if you paint them over. The custom I am making for Zoids Poison's contest right now is the first build I've made using screws for strength. Remember, if you want them invisible, you can use countersunk screws (the kind with a completely flat head) and fill in socket with putty, sand it smooth, and paint over the top of it.

Oh ok, that sounds good. Is that glue available at home depot or Lowe's? Or is it specially made for model kits? I think that glue alone will work in this case, if it doesn't I'll add screws to it.

Wow, cement is actually working atm, thanks for the advice regardless, just thought I'd update my predicament.

Glad to hear it, Visher. That glue is a home store product, I just found it a great model glue.

Oh ok, I'll definitely have to try that out sometime.
