I think it's just a custom.. clearly not everything there is HMM, or else that'd imply there's a HMM dimetrodon

Yes, it's a popular custom. Although the creator's always referred to it as the Death Stinger MKII rather than an HMM Death Stinger, for whatever reason.

Well i have to say then, thats one hell of a nice custom!

why -would- they call it an HMM death stinger if it's not one? Or is it made of HMM parts and I'm just dumb?

It's made mostly of HMM Genosaurer parts. I have a page marked with tons of great pictures of that custom... makes me feel more amateurish every time I see it. I think it also just goes to show how possible it would be to actually construct an HMM Deathstinger.
