I still have some more outdoor pics to take, and I still need to draw up its pilot, but here's a solid preview of my official ZCA 2012 entry, the Capricorona.

Wow, really nice work! Definitely a cool contender that needs more photos! (and an animal we have simply never seen, to my knowledge)

Well, you know how I roll Rayse, so it's entirely possible for you to build your own with the right pieces ^_^ (though it may be somewhat more expensive than it used to be) Maethius: To my knowledge, someone did make another ibex-type zoid a way back. It certainly lent itself as inspiration for Capricorona. Speaking of which, have another dramatic pic. No photoshop lightning this time: that's all natural sunlight combined with the real poseability of my zoid.

Ah, I had seen that ibex out there, but didn't know if Capricornus was the same animal type. If I may say so, Cap has better proportions as it isn't made from the stocky Dibison. I hope mine can stand next to yours in the competition, but I still don't know if it will get done in time.

Thank you Maethius. I know whether this contest or the next, your new piece will be amazing and I cannot wait to see it. Capricorona has been added to the ZCA Garage, please do not forget to vote for your favorite when the time comes, everyone! In the mean time, here are the rest of the Corona pics, as well as some background info. Name: Capricorona Type: Ibex Alignment: Helic Height: 17.3 meters Length: 13.7 meters Mass: 76 tons Max Speed: 260 kilometers per hour Weapons: AZ 40mm Heavy Cannons x2, Omni-Directional Dual 30mm Hyper Repeater Cannons x2, EM Thunder-Strike Horns, Crasher Hooves Equipment: Twin Tron-Splitter Towers x2, Mini-Gravity Drivers x4 Abilities: Tesla Shower, Raiden Rush This zoid is designed to operate on uneven, mountainous terrain. In addition, it specializes in electric attacks that freezes enemy combat systems. Like all my customs, the Capricorona was built without using adhesives and without modifying parts. This is my most poseable custom yet, with over 20 moveable joints. Amara is the Capricorona's primary pilot. Her mother was a zoid engineer for the Helic Republic, and passed away not long after she created the Capricorona. Now, battling in the cockpit of the 'Corona is Amara's way of feeling close to her mother.

Great custom... now that I see these shots I've started to identify the cool use of parts. Love the story, too. Poor Amara.

Sometimes I look at solid piece zoid tails and say "it's a shame that can't have proper joints all the way through" but then they get used as awesome horns... and it's worth it

Amazing. If this were a kit we could purchase, I'd be all over it.
