Nice Gunblaster! I got lucky and scored one recently with a Gojulas Giga and a free complete Berserk Fury thrown in (very kind seller!) I've been wanting to strip it down and do a custom paint job on it but been too busy so far. looking forward to that custom will be great as usual i guess! Time is of course the problem when you do customs i would really like to do some paintings on some of the zoids but that has to wait until my daughter is older... I've got no kids but too many hobbies and ideas! I never stop building! LOL.

I wish my gunblaster's motor worked I can fix it for you for free but I'm in the UK so the postage might suck. If you pm me I might be able to talk you through how to fix it once we know what's wrong.

First post here, but I just finished painting/detailing my HMM Buster Tortoise last night, I figured I'd drop a quick shot of it here, too. (Link to full size version)Fully painted kit, finished in Testors/Vallejo acrylics via airbrush. I added a bunch of photo-etched parts to the inside of the shell, but those are only visible with the side-hatches open, I'll take more photos of it some time soon. Decals were painstakingly trimmed down via exacto and then sealed on with a thick clear coat to blend better with the overall kit, which I'm actually very happy with. Usually I hate stickers of any kind on model kits, to be honest, but doing it this way, they look almost like water-slides. Very happy with how it turned out, overall!

Cannon tortoise is nice and while bsuter looks cool I allways thought it a waste since it jsut turns the zoid into a walking gun

Love the Tortoise, it's on my wishlist but how is the build? I've heard it's one of the worst HMMs in terms of the overall build with the shell not fitting on good and such.

I think the idea of the buster tortoise is "in real life, armies use a mixture of mobile and immobile weaponry, but we're trying to make everything about zoids" It's actually too bad we never get to see a grand-scale army, complete with every possible combination of large and small zoids outfitted with large and small weaponry, plus communications arrays, plus the other small vehicles we know they keep around, plus commandzoids, plus carriers. but I sure as heck amn't going to draw it

I imagine the Tortoise to be like the Cobra from Halo - it was a vehicle with a long range railgun type weapon, really slow to begin with but could even "lock down" and become a fixed artillery.

Yeah, but the buster tortoise has no secondary weapons, so it seems weird to have it by itself

I didn't notice too much trouble when I was test-fitting it some of it, but for final assembly I cut off the pegs and glued the shell together for stability. I wouldn't expect an unpainted build to have any fit issues that a couple of drops of superglue couldn't immediately solve.

Yeah, but the buster tortoise has no secondary weapons, so it seems weird to have it by itself As the anime shows, it's part of an artillery regiment, working in line with many other tortoises to create a barrage line like in WWI for example.

Yes but I prefer mobile artillery with smaller guns for defense than stationry, massive howitzers. But then I prefer staying mobile. I've played Real War and that game taught me to keep my mobile units moving, the Buster Tortoise takes longer to set up than a regular cannon tortoise, so I'd use it more for base defense than a front line unit. Or I'd surround them with Liger Zero or S-Liger DCS units or similar MBT-style zoids to defend them, and put light scout zoids farther up front to find targets, still I don't see the Buster tortoise as being to mass produced, it's too specialized, taking up all the hardpoints on the Cannon Tortoise chassis
