I guess this can be my introduction post! Hi everyone. I was very curious if anyone has took the time to create a Zoid they can truly call their own. Not a color swap of an existing Zoid but something entirely different. When I was a kid I used to come up with my own Zoids while watching the TV show; it was heaps of fun. One of the surviving creations was this guy who I call the Pylobex. An ibex type Zoid. Best suited for mountain terrain. I think it would be a good sniper unit. The spires on the back pop open and produce a huge electric field; they can each individually be fired as well, a powerful electrical charge shot. One of the spires is actually a sniper rifle that can be positioned over the shoulder. Stabilizer units on the feet with added ridges to aid in climbing; triple cannons on the chest and rows of exhaust ports along the side of the body help cool down the Zoids after large electrical attacks. It has built in conductors and the only ammo it really needs is for the sniper rifle. The information on this Zoid is nowhere near complete. I would love to have a model of this guy but I know that is pretty much unattainable ha ha. I have not seen too many Zoids that were completely created from scratch; show them off here if you have some!

Don't be so sure. I've actually been building an Ibex custom for the past few weeks with similar designs to yours (although I'm going for more of an electronic warfare theme). I've already got the head and legs down. Now I'm just trying to figure out the body. I'm loving your design though, and I'll try to incorporate a few of your elements into the final piece. In the meantime though, here's a custom someone else built a while back. Definitely a good one, but a bit too bulky for my tastes. grandspring.fc2web.com/zcu_ido/yagi/yagi.html

Wow! That custom is amazing. Yea I don't like the bulkiness too much but the head looks fantastic!
I would love to see what you come up with; I will some day work on my own custom, it will be tough but I will see what I can do.
Since this is my own personal design though don't use too many points as I worked really hard on this. I am very glad you like it though!

That zoid is positively badass. I didn't really like the way the way the custom looked or the clunky-ness. I like that your design is cleaner and sleek. Perhaps a mountain lion next? Please?

Wonderful work! I've got many sketches, some of customs I built, some of customs I would like to, but only a few of totally unique creations. Perhaps I could scan them in someday... if my computer hadn't exploded on Thursday.

Some recent things in past weeks that im proud to have made include the Satoshi Kamiya's Carnotaurus and the Satoshi Kamiya brontosaurus. I'm currently still working on kawahata's t-rex from time to time ever since i got diagrams for it back in the winter. the problem is it requires huge paper and i have had to drive all around looking for huge origami paper and each time i try it i get to past the first dozen steps but the paper gets too small for my hands. i have 13 1/2 size feet(14 shoes) to give you an idea of to how big my hands are. but i just made a huge sheet of tissue foil so i'm a gonna try that next.
