Has anyone ever considered or used Magnets as Joints?
I been thinking, as I seen some cheap neodymium ball bearings and disc magnets, it may be possible to make a fully articulated figure with very tight joints, that stay in place.
I am just curious has anyone tried this and what are the results?
Also, if no one tried it, I may go ahead and do it. Though, this zoid won't go well near electronics...

In my experience, nothing beats friction. Magnetism has a very narrow range of strain on the joints that it works for. Any less and it's too stiff, any more and it collapses

That might work well for something smaller, like a little windup, but it certainly won't for anything bigger than a command wolf...

Hm Yah, I didn't think it work for a larger model, but some of the smaller ones. Just random ideas that pop up int my head while I sit at work. I may try it out on one of the smaller zoids I acquired and see how well it does.

Make sure to share your results~ I'd like to see how it turns out.
