Absolutely awesome work Maethius! Finally a dragonfly type zoid worth writing home about! By the way, was the zoidsfans building theme based around making a zoid completely out of nonzoids parts or was this just an wild idea that you did a arsepull on?
P.S. what are the capabilities of the Fireshock? ( as in weapons, yes, I'm a sucker for weapon tech XD)

Again, nice work. The specs seem a bit on the large side for what I was envisioning, but its still a solid piece regardless.

KAndrew- Thanks! Muroa660- The theme of the Zoidfans contest is invertebrates... "nothing with a spine!" I wanted to build a Zoid using everything I could scrounge EXCEPT Zoid parts as a personal challenge to myself. As for the Fireshock, I've got the pieces set aside for the little fighter Zoid right now (and, yes, it uses Zoid pieces! ... but maybe I'll change that to match the Hellstorm.... hmmmmm). It's designed specifically as an armored attack helicopter, since almost all other flying Zoids are treated more like fighter or bomber aircraft. I'm looking forward to making that one! Snowflake- Thanks much! No Zoid pieces in this entire build (apart from the pilots!) The legs are a combination of Mega Bloks "Struxx" pieces, disposable razor handles, and Axe shower gel containers.  Chuckles- While I have plans on building my Fireshock dragonfly (the size of a small windup), this is the Grand Prix! I wanted to roll some of my favorite aircraft into one... a transport, the Spectre gunship, and Hind D attack helicopter. Part of the reason it's so big? Well, to use up a bunch of recyclable bottles and stuff. Household items make it easier to build larger than smaller! |
