hey all .. just a note as for some threads ive read about paint brushes and plastic supplys
im a signwriter and plastic fabricator in New Zealand and have been modeling on and off for years (brilliant for getting paints and other supplys)
for brushes and things like spraymasking films and maybe even help with decals and i bet they may some some spare paints and ahesive films lying around.. go to any local signwriter and ask for a list of signwriting brush suppliers etc .. yes you will pay around double or triple for brushes but they are likely to last years and years .. alot of them are not synthetic but natural fibre and last ages , also between paint jobs use a product called - neats foot oil - keeps your brushes moisturized and usable for years .. as for any paint related questions a good signwritter should be more than willing to help
as for stryene go to your local plastic product suppliers and ask for what your after .. and i bet that they may even have the sizes your after (and cheaper than model shops) and with luck mite have things like blox joints to .. ps they can also point you in the direction of the solvents like dimethylene chloride or the other derivatives that manufacturers use and they can give you directions in their use as ALL solvents have safe use instructions
*note- USE THESE TYPES OF GLUES ONLY WITH YOUR WINDOWS OPEN .. alot of these are a form of chloroform thats industrialized to stop you getting knocked out
as always dont just ask one person .. ask as many as you can til you get ALL the information your after
hope this all helps and good luck
