So, i'm turning my room into a giant robot warzone. My HMM Genobreaker and his shelf already have a cut in half leoblaze. But, I need tips on certain types of damage... I'd like to make it so that my old Molga looks as though it had the White Glint shoot the head piece with its high powered assault rifle, and put a hole through it. And other such thing like bullet holes, physical blade damage such as pierced armor, cannon damage, and just plain physical damage from fists, claws, feet, shields, you name it. Any tips? I've got the usual tools, lighter, soldering iron, sandpaper and razor blades and knives (serrated and whatnot).

Well, a soldering iron should cover most pierce wounds and blade damage. Since its a heated piece of metal, it should achieve the effect of what real heated metal would do to the zoid. Other than that, I don't have any kind of advice.

Gotta be careful with a soldering iron... no, not the usual, "don't burn yourself!" stuff... it can make huge, warpy holes where a real high-powered, armor piercing shot would leave a pretty smooth hole. I haven't done any damage to my Zoids, but I used both hot needle and dremmil for holes. Also, maybe make exit wounds or APEX damage by using needle nose pliers to bend and break out armor sections. It's a good idea to have some nice wires and computer bits for internal components, too. Oh, and ballpoint pens and springs make great internal hydraulics... but watch those ink stains!
