I am fairly new to customizing my models, and I was planning to add ball joints to a berserk fury. I was wondering how bionicle ball joints would do on them. Any advice? Warnings?
Also, any advice on adding things like knee joint? Like forward and back motiong on the knees?
Thanks for all the help!

for a knee you'd want a hinge joint..

Well, the simplest form is to make sure the two parts of the limbs have some form of overlapping hole, and insert a peg through that hole.. ... Thing is, the Fuhrer has hinge knees already

The difficulty with using the existing hinges in a Zoid is they are not meant to support weight for posing... they are designed to roll with minimal friction so the model can walk. To make the knee function correctly you need to add friction, such as a blox rubber joint. I often use Loc-Tite Stik-n-Seal to create a tough, semi-flexible layer inside a joint. It holds weight well but it's a pain to use sometimes.
The tough part is replacing hips and ankles with ball and sockets, and Bionicles are good for that.
