So I am trying to articulate my Whitz Wolf and I have run into an issue. I am using NBZ joints, more specifically J-6 sockets and J-7 ball pegs. The issue I am having is that the ball joint does not want to move smoothly or easily in the socket. I am glad I tried one of them out before going through all the work only to discover this issue in the end. At this rate if I do continue as they are when I try to move the legs I think the stress of it is going to pop out the sockets as if there is no putty or glue holding things together. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the J-7 parts fit better in the sockets?

On the custom I'm doing, I've had to Dremmil out the sockets because the balls are too tight. If you don't have access to a Dremmil... um... may I suggest you buy one? Great fun!

The other thing you may try is sanding the ball lightly with a fine sandpaper, making sure to keep it evenly round. Then put a little petroleum gel on it as a thin film. It should move quite nicely then.

Thanks for both of your advice. I ended up sanding the ball a bit and it worked out great.
