Not sure what to think of this. Between the HMM Zoids and MG Gundams I'm already spending way too much. If I could afford it, I'd be buying a lot more Armored Core and Macross Frontier kits too.
I thought I could dig up some extra cash for the Revoltech Zoids, and now we get this. Yamoto's products tend to be quite pricey, but if they do a good job I might end up getting a few of their Zoids.
Anyone wondering what Takara Tomy is doing during all this?

Raking in the licensing fees.

Exactly. I think it's a corporate strategy to keep the line alive and reach out for more interest while not costing TT a dime. That's a good thing, since it means that TT can easily return to the party if all goes well with Koto, Revo, and Yamato, and they could just pick up where they left off with new designs.
Good news, though I probably won't buy a single kit so long as they keep re-releasing old Zoids that are out of scale with current models... or are more expensive.

Any new Zoid production activity is good news, but quit with the overdone kits(Shieldy/Bladey)...enough already!
If I want a Shield Liger there are already plenty of options out there. Give us some kits of Zoids not done to death, dammit. Give us some game Zoids(Snipe Liger/Geno B, etc.), or at least variants that fans have been begging for(Physco Saurer/Champ Horn, etc.)...PLEASE!

Yamato, hm. First thing that comes to mind isn't kits, it's their transformable Valkyries.

Yeah, their Valks are quite nice ;D
But ANYTHING that comes from Yamato, is going to be dang expensive. So any Zoid kit from them better be a heck of alot more special than just standard Shield Liger, to justify the bank busting price it will most likely retail for.

Could someone explain how these will be different, if at all? Are they buildable kits or just figures? Are they poseable like the HMM line? etc

- This is almost certainly a completed figure and not a kit;
- It's also almost certainly going to be poseable, well-engineered, and have a lot of details and features that will appeal to Zoids collectors; which also means
- It's almost certainly going to be freakin' expensive. Yamato doesn't do stuff on the cheap.
- It could also possibly be a smaller scale than 1/72.
I'd lay odds on a prototype or at least more information being shown at Shizouka. What really gets me excited about this is that yet another company has thought that Zoids have enough of a following to be commercially viable. This means the next wave of actual TakaraTomy winduppy-battery-stompy-spinny-chompy goodness may show up in 2 more years and not 8. ;D

This sounds like it could be like the old King of Flexible Mobile line (1/100, pricy), but more detailed. I could get into that, but boyyyyy am I going to be poor.

Yeah, I like my KFMs a lot, I just wish I had more selection Something small scaled like that would be cool for me to collect, takes up a lot less space, those cute iddle 1/100s... God i'd love a little flexy shadow fox and konig with flexy sniper rifles... and a snipe master.

ANY new sniper-type is an instant win, but how about some of those zoids TT never felt the need to produce? I'd love a nice flexible Snipe Liger, with his sis as a side.

I like this, as I like Revoltech ones, but anyhow, I feel like the series need a new anime and some new models. Tommy is actually doing some, but I'm so centered in HMM's that I forget about the originals.

Considering the last two anime didn't do that well, I'm really not seeing them wanting to make more. Heck, even /Zero wasn't that popular in Japan going by how much it shows on fansites and such.
