The head looks a lot less snake-like with all of its teeth, too. It's a beauty... and now I need a second job to even hope to catch up on kits!

That is awesome, and slightly unexpected. It would probably be a Lightning Saix worth getting, but I haven't built anything in a long while but its still cool looking.

I came as soon as I heard.
Look at those spread claws and the pulse laser rifles and nnnnnggghh.
Head and neck movement could possibly be weird, just from those photos. But man.

Eh . . . I neither like or dislike this design more than HMMs past. That said, I feel the Saix has the same problem as the other two HMM kitties, namely the girth, or lack thereof. There is sleek, and then there is downright anorexic. Incidentally, the head also bothers me, both in the way that it attaches to the neck (looks like a ball and socket joint), and because the eyes seem squinty. I just prefer the wider eyes of the original better.
Other than that, it doesn't look too bad. Love the interchangeable claws . . . though I wish they were unecessary.

Hrm, I'm not sure how I feel about this. It doesn't look different enough, at first I had a hard time telling if it was really even an HMM or just a custom. Need moar pics.

I think part of the reason it looks so thin in your second picture is because the red on the back partly blends in with the red background.
