I was wondering if anyone has scratch build a whale king in scale to other zoids.

Y'know, if you did it with cardboard, it might actually be feasible.. if you had a large garage or something...

If I remember correctly, I approximated the length of an anime-sized Whale King at about 22-feet long. I think I used the scene from early on in Guardian Force as a base.

If you made a scale Whaleking it would be the approximate length of 5 Ultrasaurus... I did a chart when I built Gallant Mariner that came out like this:

That would seem about right then using the anime sizes vs scale sizes. I think. Now you're going to make me go pull that episode up again......

You know, I have plenty of cardboard and a lot of space . . . if I didn't think the Whale King was ugly as sin, I might actually go through with it

I've got about an acre of property, so I'm sure I could squeeze him onto it. I had wondered about doing and anime size Ultra, but the cost.... The Whale King would be a lot cheaper. I just don't know what the heck I'd do with it once I was done! I suppose I could put wheels and a trailer hitch under it! LOL!

I liked it better before I saw it there in profile, it looks less cool that way.. I didn't realize the tail was so thick and uniform. But it'd be pretty easy to make with boxes!

Maybe if Kotobukiya were to re-imagine it as an HMM? Still, a good whale has a lot of potential.

I mean the Ultrasaurus held tons of zoids inside each of its hangers, not to mention it had a cockpit that could easily hold well over 50 people in its forehead.

The anime Ultrasaurus was scaled up to Crazy Anime Scale along with Death Saurer (and Seismo and Gildragon), that's a 1/72 model one.
