Hey guys,
I know that some of you here use airbrush to get your paint job done.
Well, my 30 dollars airbrush kit is literally falling apart now. So Im ready to move to the big boy's airbrush now.
Any suggestion on which brand and type to get?
Thanks!

Been a while since I was in the market, but I still use my ancient Iwata HP-C. Almost time for me to look for something new, though... poor ol' girl. I got it in my Art Institute days and back then the kit was closer to $125.

Ah...Iwata HP-C. Thats the one that Ive used back in my school days. It was more like a common airbrush gun that is used by alot of the students so it wasnt that impressive in term of consistancy. But what do you think of it? Worth buying?

It's worth buying for its construction (very sturdy brush) and it can hold a good amount of paint, but I'm thinking of looking into other guns to see if they are easier to use or clean. I have to remember that mine is quite old and a brand new one might be the cat's meow.

If you're looking for consistent, a Badger single-action is cheap, consistent, and easy. They run about 30 dollars. What it isn't is fancy in the least-- I use one for base coats or single colors, it doesn't do detail work. If you're looking for fine detail work, consistency, and longevity, I swear by my old Paasche double action internal mix. It breaks down easily for cleaning, and has lasted me over 20 years.
