--red parts are pre-painted
--no standard rocket launcher sprue

--understructure is black (like my soul) for awesome contrast
--I can't tell if the armor is a flat grey or the gunmetal-grey like NJR
--I didn't see a sticker sheet in his parts inventory (?)

including the whole CP-A1 does seem like it eases the sting of the pice tag a bit, but it also increases the desirability of him to scalpers. I say if you want one, hurry and get him at retail, eBay prices are gonna be outrageus.

I wonder if you can put the CP-03 spring on the missile motor to make it spin?

What interests me is the pic of what appears to be to be Crimson Horn's Redhorn gun attached to IK SS's back-pack. I wonder if it was part of Tomy's plan - buy Crimson Horn, and you'll get a spare gun for Schubaltz's Kong. Or buy the Kong, but if you want the back gun, you'll have to get C. Horn.

I'm sure getting a regular redhorn would cost less if you just want the gun.

I'm pretty sure I would do the Crimson Horn extra gun method id I do get them both.

It actually looks better than the promo and box art pics I've seen. The red's not as glaring.

Nod, that color does look much better.
If it was just the CP-03 and the color I would not have bothered, but the CP-A1, and the green power box, and the unfortunate fact that I have only one Iron Kong have all combined into a great want for this bad boy.
Too bad the cannon doesn't turn, but that's not a big deal. If you don't want to bash in another gear to spin it, the quick and dirty solution is to just remove the big-ass-overkill missiles and attach the spring to the axis in whatever nefarious manner that you see fit.

DVD contains narrative in Japanese, Zoid & pilot info, and assorted anime battle scenes of Shubaltz/Schwartz and Iron Kong SS. Runs about 6-7 minutes and is a pretty cool addition to the Zoid kit.

It's region-locked. It also shows a minor scene cut from the battle between posessed Shubaltz and Thomas.

What's a region lock :3? Sadly, I do not have a copy of the Shieldy or Kong DVDs...

Well yeah, but I thought I'd point it out since the DVDs that came with Rayse Tiger and Brastle Tiger weren't region locked.

Yeah, Core Box DVD is region 2, the Tiger discs claim ALL...*wikis* which is slightly different than no region/0. That should give the same result, mind.

That's kind of weird, the promo DVDs went more international and then not.

I rarely play DVDs directly these days, though, both because my drive's broken and because if I rip them I can then watch them AND muck with them. Someday I will learn a bit about restoring video/audio and try to fix up some of the Core Box stuff...

tomy shud've followed the exact Kong's detail if they were to issue an anime exclusive.why put the regular missiles and not the launcher similar to Darkhorn's?can't blame them though *bell rings*
