on one hand, they could've just shipped out the gold sprue by itself.. on the other hand, another set of Bang and Sieg figures... plus a gold pilot.. and a deftly-painted cockpit cover (Snowflake did her own) .... Meh. If you've never bought a Shliger before this is definitely the one you should get... except one of the ones with the CP included....

i only remember vans shield liger having gold claws but this comes with the tail gun and two other pieces i don't recognize its probably cause their on the same sprue but me thinks it would be cheaper to create a new one with just the feet
i think the only reason i would get this if for the Van Zeek and Fiona figures but i could get them with a blue blade liger which would be cheaper

I suspect the logic goes goes creating new sprue = mold change and expensive, using existing mold and having a few bits left over = tiny additional plastic cost.
It's the same reason Shieldy has Saber Tiger bits left over, and Bladey has Shieldy bits.
The blue is slightly different, and thus it taunts me D:.

well it wouldn't be that much expense to do things in the gundam style, would it? Inject one mold with multiple plastic colors. Gundam does it all the time... it makes every sprue the same size, so they sit nicer in the box. The sprue always has a few spots where the 2 colors mixed... but the parts you actually use are nice and separate.
And anyway plastic was getting pretty expensive for a while with petroleum costs.. thank god that's over

but why only now this came out? or is it that only now i know about htis.

There's a Schubaltz Iron Kong coming as well, and the new HMM Sabre with the Gatling gun is pretty much a Schubaltz special as well, even though its not tagged as such. |
