(large - small - variant - large - small - variant....) The release of the Molga will very likely be a precursor to a variant (Great Saber) and then a large release (Red Horn?), the we will see another small unit (Guysack would rock!) How did you come to that conclusion when the current release rate has been: large, varient, small, varient, large, large, varient, large, varient, small?

Three Zoid designs I am growing quite weary of...Gojulas, Command Wolf and, yes, Molga. That said, I do rather like these, Cannonry especially. It's just that I would have preferred to see Koto do a small Zoid that has not been varianted to death...Revvie, Gun Sniper or Guysack come to mind. Oh well

You realise that there's a reason why certain designs get more variants than others right? In other news, play-asia has pre-orders for the molga up. MolgamolgamolgaUS$39.90 which is pretty much retail price, I'm a bit used to play-asia being more expensive than other stores XD

Yes, I do. It doesn't mean I am getting any less tired of overused designs. That's getting pretty close to Liger prices. To me, it doesn't make much sense to produce a smaller Zoid and then package two of them together, so that it ends up costing nearly as much as a CW or Liger. Isn't the idea of offering smaller zoids to have a few Zoids in the line that don't cost so much? I would kinda like to have the Cannonry version, but don't want to pay nearly $40 PLUS shipping for one Zoid I want and one I don't. Kinda unsure just why they did package them together. This is just my opinion, but I think that most people would prefer to pay $20 less, and get one version or the other. And yes, I know, these kits are made and marketed for the Japanese market

I would've thought it'd be obvious as to why Kotobukiya did things this way. Same reason why they'd make variants in the first place, to get as much usage out of the mould as possible. The only difference between this two pack and two seperate variants being that one doesn't have a say in whether they get one or the other or both. Hence, they're guaranteed twice as much use of the mould for each boxed unit sold. For something so small, packing two of them in one box isn't so unreasonable. For an item in the Japanese market it's still not so expensive (as essentially, you're paying 2,100 per Molga, compared to other hobby kits and items that's sounding pretty stellar) so I doubt most in Japan will really truly be upset at this.

Hrm, it looks a little odd, guess I'll have to see it in person.

I like the details (the fold-down wheels are interesting), it just seems so... static. Even the windup had tail flexibility. I envisioned at least one pic with the Molga curled around almost in half. Very nice, though

What we need are pics to see how flexible the tail is. The flip down wheel does make it interesting.

How did you come to that conclusion when the current release rate has been: large, varient, small, varient, large, large, varient, large, varient, small? Sorry, didn't mean to neglect this question! I came by the production schedule based on my own small company. It's a form of risk and financial management.... smaller releases have larger profit margines and give a company play-money for R&D on new designs. I release a large book that is expensive to fill with art and text, then a small book that lets me purchase toward the next large book. I figured the same thing works for models.

Interesting that we have no pictures of the tail-missiles...

Interesting that we have no pictures of the tail-missiles... I don't think there are any. I imagine the missiles would be under those 6 hatches on the tail but those appear to be molded details and don't actually open.

Odd that a major detail like that would be left out.... (Dremmil time!)

I wouldn't be surprised if there are weapons hidden in a compartment behind the head.
What I also like about the Molgas is the way that some of the smaller details are molded differently (head guns and tail parts). This could lead to new Molga variations (ie, Slasher Molga could be armed with blades attached to it's head and tail.
