This is it, the comparison that was never done, here it is !
On the left the NJR PK, on the right the OJR MK2 LTD. Let's beging with the colour differences. What was said about the MK2 is real : the red is really a metallic colour, nearly pearlescent (something that was very rare in the OJR line), which is giving a thiner aspect to the plastic. But you see that it is plastic, and you can't think it is metal. The PK has on his side his particular pink/red colour, more flat.
The weapons is a big change too : they are mat dark grey on the PK, and silver on the MK2 (the same silver than the old red Zoids). Here too, the PK seems more flat, with less contrast in the colours. The mecanism are black on the MK2, where they are the same grey than the weapons on the PK, again less contrast.
The canopy colours. This is a detail to make the difference between the two : the PK canopy is green, the same green than his shoulder and visor glasses. On the other heand, the MK2 has a red canopy (and head light too). The other glas are green, like the PK, but it is not the same green ! (so you can't expect to replace a missing part with a CP11 glass part) The green is different, more kaki on the MK2.
Now another thing : the caps. Red on the PK, dark green on the MK2. A green that is not found on another Zoid (and I had problems finding two caps that could fit).
Heads close up, again the glasses difference between the two green. We can also see that the MK2 stickers are the same than the regular MK2, nothing new (where the PK has his own stickers). The PK has two pilots, where the MK2 has three (there is one in the back seat).
The thing that is making me think that even if TDP reissue this one (you'll never know), mine will stay different : the battery cover. This part was retooled in the NJR line, and the belly part too. So now, all the kong has the new belly and battery cover, as you can see on the PK (on the left). The MK2 him, has the old one, with the cover identical to Redhorn one. Something that won't be done anymore.
For the mad crazy completist like me, who are dreaming about those legendary Zoids. Even if it was reissued, even if it could be easyer found than a Clear Murasame, this MK2 LTD will stay more sought after, more appreciate by the Zoiders, and far more expensive (two or three times a PK).
Now, need to find the Gojulas.
