The two Zoids2 Sabre store displays. perso.orange.fr/Ultrasaurus.Red/tempstoresabre5.jpgThis one has an all metal pedestal, very heavy, with big pegs entering inside the Zoid to hold it. The Zoid doesn't work on battery, but there is an electric cable linked to his belly (which doesn't have battery cover, neither the tubes that are supposed to be there. Aside from that, there is no difference. The Zoid walk when you put his switch on, as usual. perso.orange.fr/Ultrasaurus.Red/tempstoresabre6.jpgThis one has a pedestal in plastic, which is very thin and fragile at certain places, most of all where the Zoid is hold. It can break easely. There is also a big plexiglass cover to protect it, which can be remove very easely, without breaking nothing. It is writen "Les Zoids sont de retour !" which means "Zoids are back !". This one is a french version, I don't know if another version is existing. The Zoid works on battery, it is not inside the belly, but in the display. There is a cable linking the battery to the Zoid that goes inside the display. There is a button on the display that makes the Zoid move when you push it, a "try it" button. I made the two work, both are full functionning. Now, they are one on another inside my shelves. Enjoy, Lionel

Hmmm...Interesting. It seems as though someone impaled sabrelion and he is kicking his legs at a desperate attempt to free himself...

What are these for? The first one definitely does look impaled They're just like the Liger 0 ones we had stateside for the NAR, except those had a molded desert style dome around them. I always thought it would be cool to own one of those. Kudos to you, Colonel Lionel, for acquiring two variations of the display zoid.

I'm pretty sure there was on in the local TRU a while back.
Speaking of which, I wonder if that Gustav is still there?

Interesting find there Lionel.
Aside from the changes to the power supply, are the Zoids themselves exactly the same as the normal Zoids2 models ? Can you actually take the Zoid apart ?

I realize you asked me a question and I forgot to answer. Sorry.
The Zoids are the same, instead that they have a cable going out of the belly, and no place for battery. There is not the two belly tubes (no place for them). The first can be remove from the pedestal, the cable is not linked to it. So you canhave a walking Sabre with a cable linked to the wall, not very interesting. But on the second (the one behind the glass) even if the glass can be removed easely, the Zoid can't be remove from the pedestal, and the cable is fixed to the button, so the Zoids cannot be put of the pedestal.
