Not that many new releases recently, and other people generally get their Zoids before me. So here is something new:

== THE DEAD METAL ZONE ==

Rather than a normal review, its a comparison between similar (or even dissimilar) Zoids based on nothing more scientific than how cool I think they are.

So with cyber drum roll Zed Shed Productions presents:

DMZ 1 : What the Blazes ?

Unless you've been under a rock for the past few years (or are a Power Rangers fan looking on the wrong website) you've probably built a Leoblaze the first ever Blox Zoid. Here we have a head-to-head-to-head with three variations on the design:
Infinity Liger - Fuzors Leoblaze - Genius Wolf


The three war machines wary circle each other:who will blink first ?


Infinity Liger gets caught in a pincer move. He has no defense BECAUSE HIS JAW DOES NOT MOVE ! ! ! What were the designers thinking ? !


Wolfie takes a front leg.


Leo takes a hind leg.


After some father Beans and a nice Chianti, the two remaining contenders face off ...


POW ! ! Geneius Wolf uses his superior intellect to time his assault to perfection. Leoblaze is at his mercy ...

I kinda surprised myself when comparing these Zoids. I figured the basic Leoblaze would go out first. But aside from the lack of bite, Infinity Liger has THE most annoying stickers I've come across.

Genius Wolf takes the win over Fuzors Leoblaze as he has the extra parts, and a very cool green and orange colour scheme (which does not photgraph very well under artificial lights)

I hope you enjoyed the first DMZ. If the mods don't cyber-slap me for this, I encourage everyone else to post their own match ups. If I'm allowed, I will be back with:

KAndrew: Yup, you're right, but I cannot be bothered to edit it.

Kaelin: There's one on my coffee table ;D He was a Ltd which came with a Gameboy style handheld console. I forget what its called, not the Zoids Gear. Not seen one either loose or with the game in years. I got this pre-built from Voidsign when he had his huge sell off.

Fuzors Leoblaze wins for me by virtue of being metal flake red and shiny. Mmm, shiny.

Poor thing, such a neglected variant. It's not that different from the plain red one, true, but the little differences make it that much cooler.

The What the Blazes title sound very funny since Leo Blaze is the only Blazey one there...

Sadly, I've not got the Genius Wolf, but that would've easily got my vote too- he's very cool.

Don't you have the BlackSAL Leoblaze? He's better than the normal one...

I've got a pile of 'blazes, but Fuzor was the one I had to hand. Blazey Checklist time:
- Orignal Red
- Matrix Dragon
- White DA Lizard
- Shadow Arms Lizard
- Fuzors Red
- Infinity Leo
- Genius Wolf
I've not got the Fuzors Matrix Dragon, but was actually thinking of picking him up to make some Dead-Guy style Cutie-Zoid things. I'm sure I've missed some 'blazey variants somewhere ...

Also - G Wolf's head looks more to scale. Leoblaze's always looked a bit small IMHO.
