Belated Eid Mubarak to everyone. Got back from my day off to find these on my desk:
I don't have time to build and review everything, so I'm starting with the littlest:
And the box top:
All the regular CB's have been reviewed, so I'll just stick to CB-00 Air Splitter. Its actually Air Spiter on the box, but I ain't gonna call him that. The box is 50% air - inside the CB's are just bagged with one instruction manual.
Not a huge number of bits. But its all pre-cut, so not hacking and trimming ! All six legs are from the same mold as Metal Hopper.
30 seconds later - the finished result.
WEAPON MODE ! ! ! ! WTF is it ? WTF is the point ?
Iguan Kick ! Sorry - I mean Air Splitter Kick !
GOOD - Nice design, nice colour. I'm a sucker for unusual pilots too.
BAD - Weapon Mode is pretty useless. But I generally consider the Weapon Mode to be a bonus, rather than the reason to buy the CB. A lot of parts re-used, but a Grass Hopper will always look like a Grig / Locust. Neither ar e major bad points for me.
UGLY - Its a Ltd Edition, I forget which Convention. Some people thinks thats good, some people think thats bad. But it IS hard to find. And some people may be annoyed at having to get the four regular CB's just to get Air Splitter. I got this off Celga, bundled with the Rez Tiger.
OVERALL - I really like Air Splitter. He's a worthy addition to the CB's and its a bit of a shame he was not included with the regular set, so more people could enjoy him. i want more CB's ! !
And this was not just an excuse to show pictures of my new Zoids Boxes ... ;D
