Only one photo, sorry. Here are the two Souga : the regular one, and the one with the CAS armor. This armor is made in resin, and has to be cut and painted, which is easy if you are used to work with resin, but could be difficult if it is the first time you encounter this material. Anyway, it is far easyer than building a resin minicar. The colour is a air spray satin black, with details in red and gold (easy to do if you have a good pencil). Nothing difficult in the painting. The building is not difficult either, but you will have to stick some parts to be sure that they won't go away, and there are two (the right armor legs) that I had to do work on the little pegs to fit inside the leg holes perfectly. But as I said, it is not unbearable to do, if you are a little used with the resin. But a good cyanolite glue is necessary. The result is good, too bad so few of those armors were done, and same thing for the Souga. But I wanted to do the two, and I'm happy to have the both. Lionel

Yeah, I wish this was mass produced (same with Rez Tiger). I would put the armor on a regular LZ thogh, since the black and white would match better.

I have been VERY curious about this CAS. Thank you for the pics. Does the katana actual unfold down to the mouth?
As cool as it is, I can't help but think it would look better on a regular Zero or Zero X body.

I have been VERY curious about this CAS. Thank you for the pics. Does the katana actual unfold down to the mouth? In theory, it is supposed to, there is the articulations. But because it is resin, it is impossible to do. The parts must be stuck, on the other hand all is falling. By chance, the sword can be hold without sticking, so can be put in the mouth. Lionel

Great job with CAS you have, and I have to agree this CAS should have came with Blue Souga, otherwise Blue Souga wouldn't be worth it just by itself. My Rez Tiger that I won from ichiro-japan is here today, and I am looking at the custom sword parts, you can place the sword in the mouth. But the sword piece is connect to the weapons pack, so when you place the sword in the mouth, you should not turn on the motor, otherwise the sword would pop out (don't know for sure). But unfortunately I won't have much time to assemble Rez Tiger, as college is about to start, and I need to finish my degree ASAP. But once that is done, I will get my hands on Rez Tiger!!! ;D

Does the sword fit well in the mouth?

Great job Lionel. Its nice to see someone here finally nail this guy with a fully painted CAS, the way it was advertised all those months ago. So what's next on your list then

Thanks for the pic!
But... So the parts can actually extend down to the mouth and stuff for the sword, but it's just material that prevents it?

The articulations are here, but it can't stand if it is not glued. Maybe with a little work and some screw... why not.

Nicely done! I have the Souga, but cannot really be bothered with the resin thingy. It looks great when other people do it, but my attempts would render it worthless I'm sure...
