Bio Megaraptor Holotech - Even newer pics!

I've been waiting for this one since it was announced late last year. I didn't reserve much hope for getting one, but Yahoo Japan works in mysterious ways. At the beginning of August, a bunch of them started appearing, all hovering around 10,000 yen and without much activity. I ended up winning one for 13,500 yen ($125)--a lot less than I was expecting.

Anyway, the model. This has all the same good points and bad points of the other bio megas, with the added bonus that this one's clear.

THE GOOD
Clear! The body is clear, so you can see the electronics, the stand is clear, even the pilot is clear!

THE NOT SO GOOD
--Some parts are white, specifically the upper arms, upper legs, neck and tail. Basically anywhere that has a ball joint and subject to stress. I can forgive them, because I don't want a broken holoraptor, and also the white is kind of ghostly--not entirely opaque, and you can hardly tell under the armor.

THE BAD
--He should be called Bio SHEDaraptor, but that's nothing new.
--Expensive/hard to get!

I took these in the daytime, using the inside of my bass case as a backdrop. The light wasn't very good in my apartment, so I ended up using the flash, and miraculously it worked for this guy.

Is the armor or whatever it should be called still the soft rubber like plastic?

Very cool, especially with the clear pilot, which I have never seen before. If you got it for UNDER your expected price, I would say, "hey, that's a good deal!!!" And it is much better to get something cheaper now than to overpaid it later, believe me, I have been there.

I have no doubt this will be a great display kit among other Zoids collectors.

Yep, it's just like normal bio-armor... but CLEAR! ;D

I thought by now these points would've been a given, I've only posted pics of two of the three ligers after all xp

Congrats on getting one though. I'm waiting for Amenbo to get back to me after having sent my three coupons through the mail. Seems each time I send them a query the amount of time I need to wait for an answer get's longer and longer

The head looks awesome, though. I think that's a given with that design and any sort of clear-ness.

I wonder how the clear armor would look over the charcoal skeleton from mister glowy...

I bet pretty cool. I also wanted to try the glowy armor over the clear skeleton, but a few months ago I got fed up with the shedding and glued mister glowy's armor on.

What about clear armor over the red frame of the original? That should still look quite nice.

Also, I did a minor swap with the glearmd's head/neck (the only parts not glued together) and the holo armor, and it looks hell of sweet. Now I need to order a new glearmd to try it full on!
