I haven't done a review in awhile, and I have some spare time so here's my newest contribution.
Continuing on the (never ending) quest to obtain Ligers I came across this gem on eBay.
The Liger Blue Souga was released as a Hobby Magazine Exclusive in 2005, and was limited to 1,000 pieces. It's designation is ZGe-001 and is a "Zoids Generations" release. Upon opening the box one will find the usual array of Liger sprues. The Aqua Blue caps really caught my attention, as did the two tone (blue/black) motor.
The sticker sheet is awesome. Odd that there are actually a lower amount of stickers than your standard Liger.
Upon starting to assemble the unit it became very clear that everything fit very tightly. No loose neck pieces, the head held together very well, the tail stayed in various positions without dropping, ect.
Even the infamous "Liger Legs" went together with ease, and were very sturdy in the sense that shedding (any) armor pieces was never an issue.
The stickers provided really enhance the look and feel of this Zoid. The battle scar on the head, and the awesome characters truly distinguish this Liger from the rest.
I can honestly say that this liger is worth the extra cash involved in obtaining it. I feel that it has a very unique profile, and stands out amongst a shelf of Ligers as being eccentric. As stated before, it holds together VERY well, the limited number of pieces that were made available also make it very desirable. Final score 9/10. ;D
