As some of you may already know, Tomy relaesed a small series of zoids, called cyber-drive. This series included the Imperial Diablo(Or Cyber) Tiger, and the Republican Cyclops. The cool thing is, cyber drive zoids are remote controlled( no wires!), and can also shoot little peletts. --------------------------------------- The Cyclops is rihno type, but called an elasthermas(?) something. The Box: Up close and personal( w/ finished model): The 'other' horn: Cyclops w/ controller: i66.photobucket.com/albums/h245/Mosh11/Zoids1/Moshii3082.gifMostly built when opened, so no real challemge, except on a few parts. Has two cockpits w/ two pilots, the second under the barrel of the cannon(that's gotta make him deaf...). And alot smaller than expected... Good: *Remote controlled *Bends at mid-section *Hidden weapons Bad: *Almost the entire model comes pre-built *Often VERY expensive(usually $80-100 USD) * Some parts VERY fragile. *No hard points *No caps *No Zpoints for this thing... Rating: 3/5 P.S.: I will add more photos/details later, when Photobucket decides to co-operate.

Cyclops Type One is an elasmotherium type Zoids. Cyclops Type Two is a brontotherium type Zoids.
An elasmotherium is and old-school rhino, with a very large horn.. Heck, if you Google-Image "elasmotherium" you will come up with pictures of Cyclops on the first page! XD
Brontotherium seems to be the same thing, but with a short, blunt, splitted horn.

Thank you.... I left the box at the other house, so I couldn't refer to it... though it never said anything on the second version('horse-shoe' horn)... I also forgot to say that there were absolutly no caps at all... a major minus in my book...

Does it move even if you don't have the Cyber Drive game to go with it? I'm not worried since I have the game already, just curious.
Elasmotherium...sounds like some made up element.

The Diablo Tiger Beta comes with the game and the remote dongle for the GBA. The other two CyberDrive zoids come with standalone remotes that don't require a GBA.

I know, I'm wondering if it's motorized without the game.

It is.
But it doesn't do anything without either the remote or the GBA remote dongle/game

I love the Cyclops design, and its a shame it was not released as a normal Zoid: unbuilt & with caps. He's a bit small, about the same as Metal Rhino. I think the design would have looked great if he was Liger sized.
That said, the RC feature is cool. IIRC it walks forward and back, turns left or right at the waist and fires little plastic pellets.
Shenny - what does the D Tiger do with the GBA ?

Don't know, don't have any CD models. I assume the same stuff that the Cyclops does.

I think elasmotherium is a woolly rhino, while brontotherium is a more different less rhino-like rhino. Still okay that they share a zoid, and this is a neat-looking one. I like it a lot more than diablo tiger

Actually, that 80-100 dollar is just the usuall price I find on the net. Not alot of stores that sell zoids in my neighborhood.(try NONE) I got mine for about $40 us through one of Pheno's store links.

I still don't get why it's called Cyclops.. I guess it has to do with the horn.
My cat is afraid of Cyclops and Diablo Tiger, but he likes to chase the pellets if I fire one.
