Construction is basically Blox like, with a few twists. First you build the head and neck, which includes a mechanism for the head to point down. Then the guns, legs, and body. Then you put it all together. The legs have a harder gasket like thing in the leg, as opposed to the soft rubber that blox had. You can kinda see it in the above picture. Once built, Hard Bear is pretty poseable. The guns have a nice range of motion, as does the neck. The head can only point down though. The legs have mobility back and forth at the shoulder and the knee. In addition, the shoulder and foot use a ball joint, allowing for additional movement. The body also allows some movement. Movement up and dowin is limited, but the body can kinda move back and forth a few centimeters. But the body is farily solid. Hard Bear can also go to two legged mode like Bear Fighter. Conversion is easy, push back legs back, push head and guns down. Your also supposed to move the front claws to the side, but it's a bit of a pain. So instead my Hard Bear looks like a heavily armed traffic guard. Larger pictures can be found by copying and pasting link and replacing 'S' with 'L'.

I really don't dig this guy, but it sounds like the internal workings of the Neo Blox themselves are very promising and could lead to some nice stuff in the poseable realm. Too bad Blox weren't done this way from the beginning...
Is it me, or do all the four-legged ones use very similar legs?

Wow! Really cool. It'll be a while before I can drop more cash on zoids, especially blox zoids, which tend to be more expensive than I think they should be, especially since I haven't gotten any genesis zoids yet, but... I'm getting these!

Is it me, or do all the four-legged ones use very similar legs? Yeah, they all share the same frame of legs, Frame L.

I dunno, he seems bulky enough for me. Mind you, those front paws are ridiculously big. On the whole though, I have to admit I have'nt been convinced by any of these neo blox at all. They all seem so thrown together.

You got a point there bub, the front paws are oversized. They ought to have been the back paws, but somehow or rather, the designers thought it'll be cooler to have oversized front paws and smaller back paws.. ugh. Of the new Neo Blox, I'd say this critter is just a tad bit better than Brachiorakete..

here's my take on hard bear: Comparison with a bear fighter: Bear Fighter is more bulkier or stockier looking compared to the two but.... When standing...hard bear is actually taller The good: 1. more flexible than the original blox 2. more stable than the original blox The bad: 1. Anatomically wrong in a sense that its front paws are bigger than hind paws...in reality the real bears have bigger hind paws 2. Skinny looking especially when standing up 3. Looks delicate in some areas especially the attachment of the guns, I would advise extreme caution since the piece that is holding the ball joint is a bit thin. 4. I was disappointed that the front paws had to be detached then add another piece for it to be horizontal Pic of my corrected Hard Bear...I'd prefer the hind to be bigger than the front paws... They're doin da cha-cha!! B)
