i like the command center on it, makes it kinda like a headquarters for the zoid. to support direct info on a battle or something like that.

Except for the fact that it's a big Bulls Eye for Gilvader.. and Liger Zero X's like to pick on it.

Poor Mad Thunder, people always focus on eaten by Gilvader, ignoring all the Death Saurers it sporked :p.
Speaking of which, why the devil doesn't Deathy MOVE? I can understand that happening the first time, but you can't tell me that a Deathy with the Custmize set bits couldn't outrun and outmaneuver a Mad Thunder and try picking it apart with the other guns. Funny thing, that seems to have been the Deathy Störmer had, and it was most likely a Deadborder that got that one.
And yep, Ligers are good Mad Thunder support...you can say KW too, but it's a Liger in wolf's clothing in terms of how it fights.

MT's far from flawless. A small, lightweight zoid could get in close and tear him apart. I imagine a substantial group of Hellrunners could wear him down. It's like they say, "No zoid is an army in itself." ...you can say KW too, but it's a Liger in wolf's clothing in terms of how it fights. Gah! *knife to the heart* Take that back! my precious immaculate wolfie is nothing like your overrated kitties! I lose my internet for a couple of days, and this is what I find when I come back? Tsk Tsk.

A small Zoids would never be able to get through a Mad Thunder's armour... Its armour is probably the thickest out of all Zoids.. Well, maybe.. Its up there in the top 3..
Koenig Wolf has electricy attacks while Liger Zero has lasery attacks.

But it is similar in use...even its profile compares them. They're both based off wild critters, making for close-combat oriented critters in their base form, with the Wolf upgrading to blast at things and the Zero to slice or blast too. As for Panzers being more for exploding large areas, they seem to be capable of more precise shooting too (especially when they hang out with Gorhecks).
In other words, they do about the same thing, and no doubt the Wolf exists 'cause Zeros are a pain to make...I could swear I even read that somewhere and can't find it again. It gets phased out and doesn't seem to do much later, either, the Zero frame going on to be the one most used. It's overused because it WORKS. Thus the Wolf's main claim to fame seems to be Hermann piloting one, which everyone also seems to forget about...maybe it should hang out with Dark Horn :p.
And if crazy small Zoid kamikazes were effective against Mad Thunder, Zenebas would have found out. Reasons it really, really sucks to be the emperor's bodyguard #56...

Yeah, but Mad Thunder can't be 100% armored. It has plenty of hoses and joints and little bits that can be shot at. Also there's a blind spot on the sides next to the generator on the back where it can't hit anything. If anything gets there it can take potshots and annoy/damage/cripple Mad Thunder all day long.
But any escorts can swat the quick Zoids that can exploit this while Mad Thunder kill the main threats.
