A month or two ago...thanks to a good friend here...I was able to snag 5 of these....this coming weekend I'll be getting a set of 12 which includes the chase Zoid but my friend can't tell which of the regular ones is missing...hopefully it's one of the 5 ones that I have....the extras will have to be sold off anyways.... Each piece come in a cube like box with its instructions and that blue japanese leaflet that are usually found in Zoids bought in Japan or in Limited Editions...and a set come is one box which are meant to be sold as Gashapons. The instructions by the way includes all the Baratz...so no biggie if you lose the instructions of one of them. Any by the way...all of them don't have runners...parts are already cut and trimmed...just a matter of putting them together. Blitz, you painted the pilot? Or was that from a previous custom?
I don't have this Connectes. Got the red head and tail version. I got both versions of Gunbeetle, including 2 Crystal Gunbeetles.
A friend has a 2 Baratz (blue Feelesword and grey-legged Guysting) that he doesn't want so I'm picking them up soon at a low price of course. ;D
On the other hand, I could just "play cheat" and get the full 12 box set from a local store at a discounted price.

Blitz, for myself I tend to move the centre and rear legs backwards and the front legs forward to make it look more realistically like a regular beetle. It kinda saves display space too, reducing the "footprint" area of each Baratz. Thanks for the note of caution on the Feelesword's cockpit. I'll be a little more cautious when I collect mine from my friend. We have them on retail over here and I could get a full box of 12 at a discounted price since I have a membership card. I suppose you got a good deal for a set from one of the SG guys?  |

I go out every week looking for Zoids and stuff and have a good friend who obtains limiteds for me on a regular basis. If my aunt was still living in the Phils I'd have asked her to get me some Zoids stuff from Manila or something. She lived in Baguio City years ago.  That said, we're gearing up to see the Custom Blox insects appearing in SG. I think it will come over but my fellow Zoiders doubt so. |

Ah that would definitely suck if you can't get the extras at discounted rates. Its not easy to track down a full box of 12 these days. I just helped a friend get a full box and only because I knew the retail staff. They usually don't bring out the box of 12, especially if they have the opened set of 12 on sale. Usually one box of 12 is out for sale and the boxes are usually not completely 12, with some folks having bought several boxes, so we tend to have 1, or more leftovers. Only after that 1 or leftover boxes are bought, then they'll take out the new box of 12. No probs on the offer of help. Glad to help a fellow Zoider in the region. I'll definitely let you know if I need any Zoids from PI. Got a list running in my head. Hmm.. over here we have only 1 local distributor and some shops doing parallel imports of items that are retailing in Japan. I understand Ban Kee is the distributor in PI? Or is there more. Usually its best to contact them on info, especially on retail items like Baratz and the like. Someone told me the Baratz are sold out in Japan already?? Not sure about that bit but those NeoBlox and the CustomBlox would definitely be sold out soon. Seeing how they can be used as a CP kit of sorts, I guess we'll be seeing limited numbers come in.. that is, IF they ever hit SG's shores. Haha, nope I'm not from PI at all. the setup you have is siimilar to what we have here although the nice thing in your end is that...you guys seem to have acces to more LTDs...our special toy shops dont carry a lot of ltd Zoids. Yes Bankee is our main supplier or distributor of Zoids...the good thing about them is that, I dunno how they pull it off...but they seem to able to get and sell Zoids at a SRP cheaper compared to other countries.
As far as baratz being sold out...prolly its just the online shops that are sold put but not the retailers there...hehehe just a hunch

Not really more access. We have contacts in Japan and elsewhere and myself, I have a friend who travels there frequently. She should be getting some items for me direct from Japan in the first week of February. Our local distributor does a great job in getting some Zoids at a good price but the problem is, they are selling CP kits now but no small and medium NJRs to fit them on.. Odd situation eh? Hahaha. Got CPs but no critters in stock. Defeats the purpose actually. Thats why I'm stockpilling on the CP kits to ensure that when they do re-appear, I have the CP kits in store. ;D Yes you guys definitely get stuff at a lower SRP compared to elsewhere. I bet Ban Kee imports them in bigger numbers via bulk method into PI than our local distributor here. So that may explain the lower costs. I'm not sure about the Baratz but that's the news I heard. Anyway, they might still be available there I guess but if the online stores are anything to go by, I think the retail side might be out of 'em too. They're available here so it won't make alot of sense to get a box set direct from Japan.. hehehe.. |

i never really understood the baratz.... do they connect to other zoids as power ups or mini cp's? i got the gashapons=mini zoids but those just look....  |

You could use the Baratz as custom items for some Zoids that have hard points for connecting. Its all up to your imagination actually. If you can think of ways to connect them up, its not that difficult really.
Some folks I know use the Baratz for customisation purposes. They're basically insect-type Blox. That's about it. Some people don't like 'em because they're too simple to fit together. To me, I like 'em because they're very nifty critters to have.. don't take up too much display space and you can have a long time thinking of ways to make some sort of a chimera Baratz.. ;D
