Well it doesent look very zoidey.. but as the review will show, rom and his brothers are infact 100% zoid under their helmets, so for a first for pheno's forum, a review of ROM, also known as Northglaiver.
Rom appears deceptively simple. Just 4 parts of sprues, one of which is 2 weapons and some engine parts

Assembly actualy took almost 30 minutes without pannel lining. this was mostly due to my unfamilarity with the internal layout of the little beast
take a look at this
Holy twirling cogs batman, the damn thing is a gradeup inside!
Yup you assemble the motor parts out of various bits, and hten clamp it all together using hte head to hold it in place. Nifty, but it eliminates the space for a mindrider.
The nicest thing about rom, or any of the small z knights, is that they are all the fun of a MISB gradeup without the agonizing price. Rom set me back about 10 GBP, or say 17 dollars us, shipped, as opposed to $100 for mu kingliger.
In actual fact ROM was a bit trickier to build than my kingliger, despite coming in a smaller box. I put this down to the amout of complexity in the articulaiton. When fuly assembled and powered, ROM can weild three weapons simulataniously, one in each hand and one on his left forearm. Good thing he comes with two swords and that glave.
The stickers come with specific placement instructions, not one is wasted.

(immage unimbedded due to to big)
The stickers are the major difference between ROM and Northglaiver, Northglaiver has different faciton stickers to ROM's
Here he is with darkhorn for comparaision:
And here he is about to get mugged by the scizzor twins
Conclusion. Very very highly recomended, huge amouts of fun, nice display pieces, and despite not being animals, they have a gradeup core at their heart.
