Hi all, thought I'd post up a review of this fella since I was so impressed with its abilities and its nice colour combo.
Here's the FEL in all his glory.
He's definitely the king of my collection right now, more so than Gildragon..(sorry Gildy fans don't bash me )
With wings deployed and guns to the fore, the head-first view is of a menacing flying lion with a major attitude. I wonder how he would look like with Raykong's arms attached.. maybe I should just get one to see how the fit looks.
Shot of the air distributor box, or in other terms an air-powered "gearbox". The two empty slots are where the longer air hoses should be attached to deploy the wings. The Push Button is meant to retract the wings because once the air power goes in, the wings just stay forward without coming back. More or less the button is just meant to purge the air in the spring-arms that pushes the wings forward.
Here's a view of the mode selection box. When the selector knob is moved to the left in W's direction, either the wings are deployed or the weapons will move.
When the knob is moved to the right in A's direction, the EL will walk and his weapons/wings will be moving as well.
Unless the knob is moved left or right, it remains in the centre and stays neutral. This will be the default selector for the EL to just walk with no air-powered functions. For a liger-type this big, it definitely has a powerful motor. The FEL can walk pretty quickly on its own!
Overall I'd rate this Fuzors version a 9/10 for extra functions, cool colours, extra weapons and of course, a menacing appearance. It does come with extra joints or connector pieces meant for fusion with Blox-type Zoids. It does not come with custom faction or team stickers and that's a pity.
My only complaint is that Tomy should have allowed both the wings and the weapons to be operable at the same time. Unfortunately you'll have to choose either function and I decided it would be cooler to have the weapons moving so I detached the hoses from the box and plugged them straight into the weapons' air-port.
I hope the review was of use.
P.S. Does anyone know the name of the pilot for this Fuzors EL? and probably.. his team/faction as well? Thanks.
