Bio Raptor (Commander Specification)
Ze Good
To be honest, I like the Bio Zoids, and Bio Raptor is no exception. He has a great design and a lot of articulation for such a small Zoid; the neck, tail, arms, legs, feet, wrists and jaw can all be moved (as well as the shoulder armour, although i'm not sure why exactly). Excluding the jaw and wrists, all joints are ball-sockets which makes for some nice articulation.
Ze Bad
The main body segment comes prebuilt (but this isn't too noticeable and with all the joints sticking out I expect it would be near impossible to manually put together anyway).
Unfortunately, the neck and tail are made from rubber instead of plastic. At first, I thought to myself "nice! the neck and tail can actually be moved!", but when it turned out that all the tail armour is just one piece and that any attempt to bend the tail will result in the armour popping off, I wasn't too pleased.
For a limited edition, he sucks. The only difference between this and the regular version seems to be that the outer armour is a slightly darker colour so that it now matches that on Bio Megaraptor.
Ze Odd
For some reason, the neck armour is molded red and then painted grey. Surely it would be easier just to mold them grey since they are the only parts on this sprue?
Also, the pilot is a revised, slightly skinnier version of the regular sittting-down pilot we're used to. Probably not worth mentioning, but there you go.
Conclusion : Recommended (but only if you're a fan of Bio Raptors or if you don't have the original version).
