Big Pink Monkey: EZ-015A Iron Kong PK

I’m going to assume that you’re all moderately familiar with Iron Kongs in general, so this will only cover the specifics of IKPK as opposed to all things Kong-ish.

Munky Good:

I’m going to let you all in on a secret right now. IKPK is not pink. Pinkish-red, yes, but not pink. Yeah, you heard me. If you have a Sword Wolf, look at the main body colour on it. PK is a slightly darker, redder tint then that. The structure is a mixture of two different metallic greys; the feet and some other parts are darker then the structure of the arms. All up, they add up to a nice looking package.

The biggest draw to IKPK is, of course, the extra weapons. These weapons, to my mind, are a great improvement. The Imperial Hyperbeam Launcher looks far better then the regular missile launcher; larger, sleeker and more deadly looking. The extra wrist guns are very nice, and the dual-stage back missiles are a nice design. Combined with the CP-11 the end result looks a lot more dangerous then the regular Iron Kong.

The other big draw of the IKPK is that it comes with its own sticker sheet as well as the regular IK stickers. The sheet includes two new logos, the Prozen Knights Bumblebee logo and a pair of IK-head “Bloody Kong” logos. Both are, to my mind, quite cool. Its also one of only three Zoids where you’ll get a black Guylos logo.

IKPK also has one of the coolest Zoid box photos ever. Really.

Munky Bad:

Um, if you have a Hasbro Kong, you can get the same weapons for a lot less. It’d be nice to get a third pilot for the backpack. And, um, the metallic red on IK Mk II Limited looks better? Actually, I really can’t think of too many bad thinks about IKPK.

Munky Ugly:

The price. Expect to pay upwards of $US180 for one of these babies MiB. And they are rare.

Munky Conclusion:

IKPK rocks my world. IKPK rocks your world. IKPK Is the second coolest Kong I own, after Gore. IKPK rocks.

Which are the other two Zoids that come with the black Guylos logo, and what's the significance?

I'm pretty sure the other two are Deathstinger and Geno Breaker. Ask him bout the significance, no idea there. Now seeing that ape, I want one, but the monetary state at the moment and for a while probably won't allow that. For some reason, my Hasbro Kong's LED doesn't shine as bright, nor does the head move. I hope that isn't because I untied the LED wires from around the motor leg...

Yes, theo ther two who have thew black Buylos logo are 'Breaker and Deathstinger. There's no real singficance to it, though, beyond, well, it looks cool and has that whole conenction to the OJR Guylos insignia.

The Hasbro Kong's light and cabliung was modified due to more stringent US safety requirements (Which is also why it has the seperate light switch). The result was a hticker cable which means that the head doesn't shut compltely and the eyes donlt light up.

But ofr cheap PK weapons, its a small sacrifice.

brilliant review, brilliant zoid, It almost looks to me like the inverse of the regualr kong in zome of the photos, but I know the reds are different shades, but, i think an all red ape could work?, talk about bloody kong lol, but hi dockers changing of the armor, ie puttin regualr IK armour on PK chassis, raised some interesting ideas in my mind, like what woudl say the light silver of the technozoids IK look like on one a these, or on gores chassis, or exactly how blinding would be the reverse, ie, the reddy pink on the yellow- actually you better no do that it might make your eyes bleed, or gores black armour or yeti's white on a red chassis, argh the possible combinations, i think think a blue gorilla should be next, or green

TZ Kong's siolver armour on OJR/NJR Kong's chassis would be cool, an evil Red Zoid Gore.

IK PK seems to be like Nacho Tiger to me: different colours on the box to his actual.

Almost looks around the same as a Genobreaker or Hasbro Blade Liger

Which makes it all the more wantable =P

lol that alread monky kinna reminds me of strum tyrann, withtis mixture of reds.
and thos pics aren crap, fair enough the camera isnt high enoug, or the monkey is too close, so you see whats behinf d the back drop, but atleast thye are in focus, a thing my cam seems to have trouble with half the time.

I think the black and yellow was just a TZ/NJR looking extra dark due to lighting. Imagine if he used a Gore, though. Or, wait for it, a Deadly Kong with TZ underparts? I know what I'm doing tonight!
