Cyberdon/GorhecksZe GoodTranslucent purple spines! Yay! Ahem. The translucent purple spines look really nice, and as you can see in the picture, the colour is so light that you can see straight through and out the other side with barely any obstruction of vision. This gives the illusion of the cockpit glass being more of a force-field than anything. This colour scheme also seems more approprate to its classification of Electronic Warfare Zoid. All other releases of Gorhecks have looked to me more like out-and-out combat machines, but this version seems delicate and almost mystical like it would be best suited well out of the way of battle where it would stand gently moving its spines back and forth. Ze BadAside from the purple spines, he doesn't strike me as a particularly interesting Zoid. His head moves side to side as he walks and his spines wiggle, but it's all pretty basic stuff executed in the simplest way possible. Ze UglyNot much, really. ConclusionMildly recommended

I like the NJR version of Gorhecks best myself. The colours as you said are very militaristic and I like how four of its guns are built into the plate arrays so that you don't notice them at first. And for a windup, he's got quite alot of movement.
My only real disappointment is that, unlike his partner, Arosaurer, Gorhecks doesn't have any additional pegs for attaching CPs or Blox parts.

The Fuzors Gorheks sports a mould change that adds a pair oof standard-sized pegs to the top of the body. These are meant for the Police Lights, but can be used for CPs or Blox. www.ne.jp/asahi/dboz/0/hp04f_011.htm - An example. Rick R.

I remember getting Cyberdon back in the day, courtesy of Tomy. I sent off my Zoid points for a poster, and didn't hear anything back for ages; then one day I cam back from college to find a parcel containing a letter of apology from Tomy, and a Cyberdon. I still have the letter somewhere. The thing I always loved about this Zoid is the cockpit design; the way it comes out from the bottom of the head just looks SO cool.

Nice review Andy!
Any chance you have the box of Cyberdon against a NJR Gorhecks?
also, any marks on the zoid if it was manufactured in Japan or Singapore?

Sorry, I don't have the box for either but he was made in Japan. May I ask why your interested? Only they seem kinda odd questions to me.

1. Just interested in the box, since I never got a Cyberdon box.
2. Got Gorhecks MIB, had fun building it and found it was made in Singapore than Japan. I want to trace when at a certain point zoids were made in either Singapore and Japan, and when the production shifted to Singapore...
3. Had another built Gorhecks, but no box or anything but the item loose, cant tell if its a Cyberdon or Gorhecks and want to see if the Made in Japan or Singapore thing has a difference...

I don't mean to complicate things, but I have a couple of Zoids that were made in France... Also, I don't think Japan/Singapore makes any difference to what version of Zoid it is. For example, I have three Trooperzoids with OER packaging; one is made in Japan, one is made in Singapore and one is made in France.

Ha ha, really kinda fond of this Zoid. Have 4 versions of him-my old Cyberdon, Z2 Stego, NJR & the imminently- arriving FZ.
I do agree about Cyberdon being somehow a little mystical- back when I got him in the 80s, he seemed really futristic & sleek for a Blue Zoid (renegade).
For pure cool tho, you have to go wi Z2 Stego- he look sooo stylish with his reflective metal cockpit.
