Doctor Who anyone? I for one, am looking forward to the new series massively, early reports suggest good things amongst Christopher Eccleston, Russell T Davies writing skills, the autons, etc.
But lets not forget the Doctor Who of old: my personal favourite Doctors were Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee, their stories to me had more grittiness than the later Doctors. Better baddies too, IMO nobody beats Roger Delgado as the master.

I love Doctor Who. I grew up watching old tapes of it and reading the novelizations of it over and over...the tapes still work and we still have the books, and every so often I'll get re-obsessed with it again...
I just bought one of the original stories recently, in fact...I need to read it. Did you watch the Scream of the Shalka thing online? It seemed to get mixed reviews, but I loved it...nice cliffhangers, and everything, and it even worked on dial-up.
The Master was a great villain, yes...my favorite team was probably 5th Doc, Tegan, and Turlough...so wonderfully dysfunctional. And Turlough was cool because he stayed an annoying snarky coward somewhat, rather than just going "I will be good now yay".
And Frontios was *fun*. The hatstand thing is probably one of my favorite scenes...
I loved K-9 as a little kid...I have this vague memory of seeing a model of him at a convention as a very little kid...most likely because it was shiny. I've always liked shiny things.
*wonders where her paper K-9 model went*
I also have the same (first) name as one of the characters. I'm not telling who (Rick and a few other people, shush). And I named some OCs after Who characters...even if Ian's more named after Ian Anderson, it counts, dangit.
...I think I'm done now.
*TARDIS-Liger goes vworp* Oh, yeah. There's that thing, too.

Frontios! Ha! I remember watching that on TV when I was 6! scared the crud out of me as a kid, Peter Davison was a good doctor, I have lots of childhood memories of the 5th Doctors era: i'm thinking Silurians(the Myrka!), Earthshock and Omega from The Arc of Infinity(he still looks cool today).
Turlough was an interesting character(pointless fact: The actor who plays turlough was blonde and had his hair dyed ginger to differentiate him from Davison) he seemed to have his best moments in Mawdryn Undead where he betrayed the good Doctor.
I've never seen Scream of the Shalka before, I really should watch it.

I've never really watched Doctor Who or even know much about it, but I've been vaguely interested in it. I think because it's British.
But thanks for mentioning the Scream of Shalaka, just watched the first two episodes. Very nice.
..., yay, perhaps more stuff I want to spend my money on.

And Enlightenment! Enlightenment was cool, with the ships in space...I wish more of Doctor Who was on DVD. There's lots of episodes I might buy then...I'm not going to buy them on VHS unless (heaven forbid) the tapes die.

Enlightenment, that was one part of that trilogy(can't remember its name now) with the black Guardian in it. The baddie was a female pirate captain(very 'hammy' acting)and Leee John(yes, that's spelt correctly) was the appalingly wooden first mate on the ship, he was the lead singer of a very, very camp 80's band called Imagination, who tried to make the transition from singing to acting. That all sounds rather negative, I actually quite like this story.
One of my favourites has to be The Pyramids of Mars, Sutekh has to be one of the coolest baddies.

They're showing Dr WHo on Aussie TV at the moment.. .we're up to John Pertwee. Dadly, howeverm, due to a legal bunfight, we don't get to see any Dalek Stories (sobs).
Still, I like the Cybermen better.

I've never watched any of the stories mainly because I'm in the wrong generation, but I love the baddies, especially the robot ones
I reckon Daleks are the best! "Exterminate"
