Yeah, I agree. I believe there are other lifeforms out there, (because it's just stupid to think that we're alone out here) but you'd think they'd have better things to do than draw in our crops and abduct people and cows. But, you know, I guess they've got to have their vehicles too. *shrug*

If we were the only life forms in the universe, then we wouldn't exist... because bacteria was the original life, and it had to come from somewhere too...

abduct cows. LOL!!!!cows...yeah...right... I bellive...if there is already life in this planet, there is a percent of chance that means there might be life elsewhere in the universe...now, about the strange lights that formed a triangle...I would have LOVED to see that... you should search elsewhere in the internet for information...

I'm pretty sure there are other life forms out there. There's speculation that Europa (I think) might have oceans underneath it's ice sheets with some life.
Now intelligent life, who knows. There's an incomprehensible amount of space out there, so it's quite possible.
As to whether aliens have visited us, I personally doubt it. As Dano said, why come all this way just to abduct people and mutilate cows. Going by Einstein's laws, you can't go faster than light, so it would be quite a waste to just come over and do this.
Also, there are thousands of amateur astronomers who watch the sky every night, but most UFO sightings are from people who don't. Why is that? You would think they'd be the first to report something unexplained? Perhaps they are part of a big conspiracy, but how hard would it be to keep that many people happy and quite?
A more likely reason is that people are unfamiliar with the night sky. I've heard of people mistaking Venus and aircraft for UFOs and such.

a UFO could be: A trick of the light A frisbee An aeroplane Some sort of secret aircraft being tested by the government But it could not be an alien aircraft, intelligent life forms have better things to do than draw on wheat. I do believe there's something out there though...

I think the Universe is infinate, so there would be infinate numbers and varieties of liforms in this universe. I can beleive aliens have visited this planet. But the only proof availibe are tapes of lights and one or two of "aliens" (movies with glowing, biped in a field, and one with a creature (head and chest) trying to speak and coughing, and then theres the film about the "alien disection". But unless there is undeniable proof, im not sure if aliens have visited

Do I believe that there are flying objects that are unidentifiable? Certainly. The problem with current UFO-ism is that it's almost a religion. What is the difference between it and more "primative" superstisions?

heh interesting topic, have to drop my 2 cent. I believe that intelligent lifeform is very possible in the universe. I mean just in this one little planet called earth, there are so many different creatures. And possibly so many more that we don't even know about. As for "aliens" visting earth... Well, this I am not so sure, if there is no time bound specified to the question, then we may very well be "aliens" that visited earth. (Our ancestors came to earth somehow, and who's to say that we are not infinging on life of some other creatures at the time...) If there is a time bound, and the question becomes if alien visited earth in known human history, or in recent history. Then the problem is that even if there were (is, will be) some alien visitors, we wouldn't necessarily be able to discern the aliens. We are limited by what we can perseve via the senses that we are gifted with. But these senses are by no means perfect (e.g. images will always be low pass filtered, and sampled for us). Nor can we say for sure that with our senses we can detect absolutely everything out there. We are smart(er) (tho ignorance is a bliss...) and we are all blessed with miraculous and wonderful bodies. But we are also bounded by their limitations. And if either our mind doesn't have the capacity to make sense of something, or our senses cannot recognize something, then we will not be able to realize the existence of that something. Hence the possibility that we may very well be surrounded by aliens from other planets that visit us on a daily basis and we still have not a slightest clue that they are here... (Okay i am going into the deep end here, I should refrin from going deeper...) Oh and as for the crop circles or those amazing sightings I don't try to analyze them too much, I just appreciate the coolness of them and no matter who did what, they are quite amazing. As for the abductions, I cannot say for certain if people were lying or not about them, so I just be glad that i don't have to experience what they experienced. To me life is too complicated as it is (yes you may say that I am stupid)

there has to be some thing else out there, that space is just too big for there not to be life out there, but i think if lifeforms were to come to earth it would b like in independece day, in a massive ship, and not there tiny hings we keep hearing reports of. thoigh the physical conditions on ther planet could theoretically make aleins the size of a pilot of a zoid model(best example i could think of) or they could be giants and have a ship the size of earth, we just dont know. To be honest i think if we wanna see aliens i think we gotta go out there and find them. who knows there could be a planet just like zi, and the guy who came up with zoids could have some psycic link with that world. In fact that could be true for half the japanese cartoons lol. Any hoo. The truth is out there.

Psychic link? That kind of theorizing cheapens the creative process.
