You can buy premixed bags of it at craft stores that you only need to add water to for a pretty low price. You can also make it by shredding a pulpy paper and dipping it into a mix of glue/paste/flour/laundry starch/plaster of paris and water... Paper Mache on the cheap: What you need: - Flour, or Wallpaper Paste, or White Glue. - Water. - Newspaper, or grocery bags. How you do it: - First, add the thickener to the water and mix. * 1 part flour to 3 parts water. * 1 part wallpaper paste to 3 parts water. * 2 parts white glue to 1 part water. - Second, rip the paper into strips. - Then soak the strips in the glue mixture one at a time and apply in layers, repeat as needed. - Shape as desired (you may want to use a mold to form it). - Let dry overnight. Here is a good site with more ideas for mixes and additional tips for better results: www.dltk-kids.com/type/how_to_paper_mache.htmHave fun! ^___^
