Let the jaws hit the floor! Yet another update from Tu. In this you will, if you look close, see a bag with lots of new wings in it. Also the swing piece under the wing in uv reactive green. I sent my pieces for him to copy because his were broke. So I see the copy of those went well too! I said this at the very begining! This guy will go down in zoider history as one of the greats! Thank you Tu for all you do!

I was informed by him that the bag of wings were actually errors. Bubbles, malformed and such. He has sent me pics of all of them separately. I was told these are offered to those who want to utilize them in some way. He wants to try and recoop money spent on making these failed attempts. He offers these at 30 a set. I can put up all the pics if anyone request them to be seen. I also was shown my full set of the 12 pieces normally red. He made me 2 sets a set in translucent uv reactive green and a set in translucent red. The red set was a misunderstanding. My 12 pieces for that project are being chromed a very dark purple that is almost black. Anyway just more information for those who are following this thread.

Wow, that looks like some high quality work! In my pics I can actually read the part numbers,on the back sides of those other pieces, thru the translucent green. As far as my understanding of his process. He makes silicone molds and resin cast parts also utilizing a vacuum chamber to suck bubbles from molds. While the process for each new mold in the mix is trail and error, he is very good at what he does. He showed me his error pile on the wings. This is a much bigger mold and very hard to get all bubbles out of. There are places in a mold that bubbles like to hide. Useage of breather holes and working the molds within a given ammount of time reduce the errors. As he says 'No one sees the fails they only see the finals'. I will post the 12 pieces pic soon as well. Plus the other wings in red, white and clear if anyone wants to see those for possible purchase.

Sounds like it's still not exactly a magic solution, but the results sure are great!! Hopefully someday this kind of thing becomes so easy, anyone can do it cheaply

The 12 pieces reffered to as the 12 pieces normally red on a gungyrados.

It sure seems like a great way to really enhance some custom options.

It sure seems like a great way to really enhance some custom options. Or in this case replace broken parts and or missing parts at the same time going towards a theme one has longed for that never was. I always felt they missed the mark slightly on the Gungyrados by not making it a guylos empire dark zoid. After all it is mostly there already. Just a few minor adjustments and a gunny with broken wings will be a new center piece of my collection! I've wanted this for so very long! I was such and easy target for him! More crazy stuff coming after these projects are finished!Any other dreamers out there? Love to hear about them to see if they align with what is coming.

Yeah the colors at that time seemed to be kind of random, they were at the end of their rope and trying to appeal to a new crowd

I have to agree about the Gungy recolor project... I never liked "Ice Armor" (chrome) on Zoids for the most part. I think a Gungy in flat black with the green would have been a better approach; it's cool to see yours coming along!

All the Zoids of those last two years were a tad strange. They should have stuck to the glowing green and black trend, but NO....they started using bright orange, chrome, reds, purple, etc. the last Guylos Zoids before the end were atrocious looking and not well engineered. It was all about the gimmicks and screw the aesthetic. Gungy would have looked great in GITD green with jet black and gunmetal!!

As all can see, that are following this thread, I like both sides of the coin. I dearly wanted the gunny in that dark guylos empire zoid theme. However with my rather embarrassingly large collection of Mechadios chromies and my recently aquired Bloody Gilly also chromed out, you can clearly see I enjoy the chromies too. The Gungyrados is quite a unique piece in the zoid realm! Not only a 2 stance zoid, but the optional stance sort of S's when going into it. No lights on this bat op also screams guylos to me. Yet another flash back! This time of a commercial 'Torn!.....Torn like an old sweater!' The actors name escapes me, but I've never forgotten the quote!

Oh, don't get me wrong! Chrome kits can look fantastic! However, what stole my attention with Zoids (and GUndam, too) was the fantastic idea that these were war machines the felt possible. Water down the engineering and paint them like a NASCAR racer broke that feel for me.

Ramen noodles Liger Zero. I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself.....giggles to himself like the mad man he is!
