It's been a loooooong time since my last custom. It cames from a very old drawing, that was lost, made more than 30 years ago, before I did those for Zavenga, Neozilla and co. I did several sea Zoids at this time. Last year, I was remembering I drew a big blue shark. I did another drawing, but actualized, with more details, and in colours. In the meantime, I found back the very old drawing. The toy is 60 cm long, 30 cm wide and 25 cm high. It must have a stand, a sea Zoid is not supposed to stay on the floor. The stickers are all real Zoids ones, appart the "RBOZ 017" which is home-made. The idea was a big Blue Zoid with Zoidzilla colour sheme, and I tryed to respect as most details as possible than the 2020 drawing. The idea came early to use a Zoidzilla body, with armor parts all around, and the tail of Deathsaurer was fitting well, good shape and size. I used several wings to make the fins. I didn't list all the Zoids parts I used, but there are Gore, Zoidzilla, Deathsaurer, Salamander, Genosaurer... It is not seen on the photo, but he has two pilots in the head (I used a Gore seat). Always love seeing a jumbo-sized custom. Very cool, looks like it could easily have been a real Tomy product. The name's a little odd, but zoids have weird names all the time

Fantastic! I agree with Snowflake - it does very much look like it could have been an originally-released Tomy product. The colors really suit it, the design is fantastic. It's nice to see a custom that feels very old-school, maybe because it's predominately old motorized Zoid pieces that make up your Carnasaurus, rather than the newer koto MSG sets or GUNDAM pieces or whatever.
Very nice, and such a breath of fresh air this custom is.

Thank you. Actually, the name is taken from the french "carnassier", which means "animal that feed with alive preys". If I'm not maistakening, there are only Zoids parts in it (appart pieces of plastic rods).

I'm familiar with "carnassier" (I believe it translates to carnivore in english), however, I think most of us are curious about where the "saurus" part of it's name came from, since that means lizard in latin or greek. I like your use of color, and the weapons distribution.

Fantastic piece, Lionel! I always felt that the sea was neglected by Zoids... so much potential! This is a great, beefy custom, man. ^_^

I mean yes I assumed it was 'carne' (meat) + saurus, but the point is saurus is lizard.. I would have expected something like Carnadon or Carnacharias or something. But yeah lots of zoids have odd names referencing other animals. And for that matter, lots of critters pulled out of the sea end up being called somethingosaur before they decide it's something else and not a reptile
