Ran into Pandos for the first time in a mission, it's adorable!
Placed 320 (370? somewhere around there) in the event. Meant to aim for the top 50 but miscalculated the time by 12 hours. Oops!
I've done pretty well with getting Zoids from Roulette, and evolved one or two, so a quick overview.
What I have currently:
-Cannon Tortoise (Zoids Grab from Eihwaz 8, not sure of rank but not a perfect?) -Command Wolf RGC -Command Wolf (Path B-2: Heavy Gatling Gun) -Hammer Rock -Helcat -White Tiger -Shield Liger (Path A: Basic Cannon Evolution)
I'm working on more evolutions. Am I correct that the Bluenium/Rednium/Greennium Orbs aren't yet available (unless by Cloud Ocean)?

^Hellz yeah! Pretty epic kitties right? Can't wait to see where your Liger ends up; I'm thinking about going to the giant-sword-chest evolution myself. Can that missile-gatling Command Wolf take that one Pteras out of the sky? Also did you get your pre-reg code for White Tiger or spin it?
For Cannon Tortoise, you can check your best-played rank by scrolling to the stage you got it from; highest rank you got will be in the lower right. Looks like rank is irrelevant though, as I got a Hammer Rock with a barely-surviving B-rank while leveling up this morning.

Yes, I'm glad to have some kitties! I spun my White Tiger though I've filed a ticket over the lost code a couple days ago, so hopefully soon! My Shield Liger, I am thinking of going for the Jager boosters, not sure which one. Maybe with the cannon? Though I must admit the sword one was tempting because of just how bizarre it was! For the Command Wolf, I haven't tested all missions but I just played through the Eihwaz missions. Successfully destroyed every Pteras encountered (that I noticed.) It turns out this Command Wolf's missiles will actually circle around behind you and chase the enemy even after they've passed. You'll get a score notification a second later for destroying the flying units. I've been working on some evolution trees, patched together from screenshots. Shield Liger was a huge hassle, and I'm kind of unamused at the redundancy in evolution paths. Same Zoids with nothing but the SP stat changed. The Shield Liger has 3 evolutions that only require 1 Zoidnium ore, more than a lot of other Zoids. WIP Shield Liger and Command Wolf trees. EDIT: I supposedly got a Molga from Ansur 2 (got the notification anyway) but it went straight to my hangar instead of my box. I wonder if this is just for beginner areas or if we're not gonna be able to 'make space' for mission-obtained Zoids anymore?

There's a new event for destroying tarantulas, with Rednium/Greennium/Bluenium orbs as a prize. The scope of prizes is in much larger numbers than past time (1000-2000 etc.) but only 1 top tier winners, for a huge prize of 1000 each. Thankfully it looks very easy to place in this event to get a sizeable number of the ores (30 each.) Evolved my Shield Liger! A test video here. This is the fastest Zoid I've used so far. It is impressive, but highspeed Zoids are essentially useless in this game. Firepower is ok, not a great trade off. I love it for the aesthetic, though. Really like how the boosters were used here. Also did a trial video of the missile Command Wolf in action. After encountering a Shieldy with Dibison guns I believe that those (and all other Zoids with Dibison guns, I would think) have the same missiles and would also be able to shoot down the flying Zoids. (Can you feel my pain when that Zoidnium Ball falls into the crack?)

Posting the full event details here just for archiving purposes: Defeat as many Tarantulas as possible (any colour) between noon on the 2nd and the 3rd (only 9 hours left now) to win Colournium ore. 1~3: 100 of each colour 4~1000: 30 of each colour 1001~2000: 20 of each colour 2001~3000: 10 of each colour Gcluster is getting really bad at announcing these in advance >_> In fact, there was a double-experience event last night... which lasted one hour, and was only announced on Twitter just as it started What I have currently: -Cannon Tortoise (Zoids Grab from Eihwaz 8, not sure of rank but not a perfect?) -Command Wolf RGC -Command Wolf (Path B-2: Heavy Gatling Gun) -Hammer Rock -Helcat -White Tiger -Shield Liger (Path A: Basic Cannon Evolution) I'm working on more evolutions. Am I correct that the Bluenium/Rednium/Greennium Orbs aren't yet available (unless by Cloud Ocean)? Nice, that means between you, me and greengai, we have every Zoid except Pandos. And I don't think we can get Colournium orbs and Zoidonium crystals in the Smart Ocean yet, judging from Japanese Twitter discussions. They were Japanese only actually... until I switched back to my English gamer-tag (it's separate from the iTunes account, I just got tired of my other game asking if I wanted to switch it to Japanese) ... To top it all off, I got my pre-registration code for a second White Tiger! The code turned up in my e-mail up as soon as I switched to my English gamer-tag so I'm guessing I chose a delivery method that was tied to my device somehow?? (and I graduated too ) SPOILER ALERT!!Finished island 9 today... the Boss is both. First Ultrasaurus then Triceratops. There will be a 5-second or so break in between Ultra's destruction and Triceratops showing up but the clock keeps winding down while there's nothing to shoot! Had to beat this particular Triceratops with physical attacks; gunning it did next to nothing. So the language changes based on your device settings... which means the English island names for the Cloud Ocean are probably programmed in but inaccessible D: The preregistration email thing is weird. You just typed your email address into the box on the website to preregister, right? I don't see why language settings should affect getting the email And I've heard that there's no story or anything after beating the final boss(es), but are there any credits, or does the game just continue as usual? I haven't seen any sign of credits anywhere, which is surprising (I'm kinda curious about who made the music). Thanks, that'd help a lot! No worries about the time, I imagine Material hunters will be around for a year or so. Killing Bluestacks via processes results in a game-breaking error until you restart your computer or close it properly (selecting 'quit'.) If you just close out the .exe processes the next time you start the emulator it freshes over and over, making it so that you can't click any apps. I'm running Windows 7, not sure if that makes a difference. That's odd, I'm on Windows 7 too and I was able to run the game after killing all the Bluestacks processes. I opened it via the Material Hunters shortcut in the Apps folder, if that helps. Yes, I'm glad to have some kitties! I spun my White Tiger though I've filed a ticket over the lost code a couple days ago, so hopefully soon! If you still want me to write up an email in Japanese, let me know. You've got until the end of July before the codes become unusable. Oh, and the starter achievements you're missing are Clear 3 islands in Smart Ocean (20 ZG), Clear 100 missions in Smart Ocean (50 ZG), Obtain 50000 Energy on the Island Map (50 ZG), Kill 10 Triceratops (20 ZG) and Kill 10 Ultrasaurus (20 ZG). I've been keeping screenshots of pretty much everything

To switch languages I just went back to my normal itunes, which uses the same US gmail I had put into the box upon pre-registration. I don't know if there's a straight up language setting on the iPad actually, it's easier to just to switch accounts. Gamertag stays the same regardless of account (I keep getting that mixed up with my iTunes account, gets a little tedious when switching between games) so I can only have one game on this. Game goes on as usual after the last boss battle, nothing special aside from the achievement for the first run through. No extra story or credit roll but there's probably a credit page, or link to one, somewhere. Maybe on the main website? Edit: looks like they give you a little teaser for Cloud Ocean; no play but I can see the first island. English name is YMIR. Speaking of, is there a way to get a G-cluster subscription without the little Cloud device? I saw a little mention of something that looked like such being 500 yen for a month. If that can be bought through PayPal or iTunes, I'd give a go just to complete the other set of islands.

I managed to get in on the double exp event out of dumb luck (a twitter update was posted while I was checking my dash.) It was such a short event, though, didn't get much out of it. I sure hope we see more announcement. I try to check twitter often for this reason, but it is still hard to catch some events. Placed rank 143 this time around for 30 of each ore, quite pleased with the boost towards more evolutions.
Thanks for the beginner missions! I don't think I'll need an E-mail typed up though, but thanks again for the offer! I kept mine short and to the point so hopefully they'll get the gist of it.

It seems odd for a commercial product to have no credits... (although I suppose it does at least say it's by Broadmedia). I noticed the Ymir thing, that's why I suspect the rest have (inaccessible) English names too. Unfortunately, Cloud Ocean islands can only be accessed through the G-cluster game machine and/or G-cluster-enabled TVs. I signed up for both of the G-cluster giveaways so far, but even if I do get one, I'm not sure it would let me connect to the cloud from Australia >_> Also, anyone interested in the Material Hunters soundtrack?

Looks like there's a new event with some pretty interesting prizes, including a 'Toy Version' Shield Liger, which looks to be a more anime accurate one instead of the concept art. I'm going through various missions but does anyone have an idea of what the best place to farm for the green tarantulas is? Defeat highest numbers of Green Tarantulas.Start: June 5th, 12:00 pm - End: June 8th, 11:59:59 AM.Place 1-50: "Toy Version" Shield Liger, 300 Zoids Gold 51-150: Greennium Ore x60, 200 Zoids Gold 151-300: Greennium Ore x40, 100 Zoids Gold 301-500: Greennium Ore x20, 70 Zoids Gold 501-1000: Greennium Ore x10, 50 Zoids Gold 1001-2000: Greennium Ore x10, 30 Zoids Gold 2001-3000: Greennium Ore x5, 20 Zoids Gold 3001-5000: Greennium Ore x5, 10 Zoids Gold Other questions! Greengai, which variant did you use for the double boss on Island 9? Also, what is the 'Required SP' in the stats? Is this how much you most shoot - inflict damage to use a special, or? It seems mission rank may be restricted in some areas, or reliant more on time. I cleared some Eihwaz missions with perfect kills and not a single hit taken, and still only got A. I can only assume it's a combination of the three (kills - damage - time.) Next time someone gets S, could you try to remember if you took any damage, or got perfect kills? Does anyone know the name of the flyers? Not the Pteras, the horseshoe crab looking things. Re: Soundtrack I had disabled the sound pretty early into the game so I could watch Netflix, so hadn't heard Track 4 which I think is actually my favorite. Thanks for uploading! (Sorry for long post!)

Final battle I used White Tiger 37/ the pre-order one. Had to pick some high level allies, mostly to take the Ultra down fast enough. Required SP is indeed the damage need to deal out to fill the bar completely. Think there's a mention of it here That page also tells you about the score but the ranking explanation is just A is better than B and S is the best. Got an S rank on Yarra stage 1. Screencap for the total score, time, kill & life bonus is here. Took minor damage, didn't get perfect kills (think I only missed 1) but I did complete it fairly quick. Haven't seen a name for the horseshoe crab bombers (you have to go super slow in a straight line for them to bomb you) in-game. On the Mechanic File page they look similar to "Primitive Zoids." Maybe they'll give us an official name in an event later on. (Going by "Tarantula" and "Triceratops" its probably just "Horseshoe Crab") I'm curious about the higher flying, shoot-beams-of-green gunner things too. Were these guys in the Concept Art books? Interesting they are adding another Zoid already but another Shield Liger? Really? Ah well, hopefully they keep bringing the new Zoids in at a good pace. In evolution news, Saber Tiger's longer Panzer-gun chain (so far) isn't too great. The second evolution (or third if you count the basic Zoid as 1) the same gun that White Tiger gets on path 2 and not all that powerful. Kinda wish I had started Helcats Dibison-gun path instead :/

I don't mind the other Shield Liger since I really like it, but it's an interesting choice. I wonder if that means we'll see anime specific variations of Saber Tiger and such, too?
Neither of the flyers appear in the Concept Art Book Data Files, but I haven't had time to check the actual story.
The event has just begun!
Eihwaz 7: 7 Green Tarantulas, Risk of enemies falling into canyons Eihwaz 6: 6 Green Tarantulas, less risk to enemies Eihwaz 5: 6 Green Tarantulas, less risk to enemies Eihwaz 4: 8 Green Tarantulas, no risk to enemies Eihwaz 3: 9 Green Tarantulas, no risk to enemies Eihwaz 2: 9 Green Tarantulas, no risk to enemies Eihwaz 1: 9 Green Tarantulas, no risk to enemies

Guess who's flying interstate on the 7th? I'm really not doing well with these events... Anyway, it's been a while since I got to do one of these. Registered Name: Shield Liger (RZ-007)Speed: 250km/h max speed Item: Laser Sabres, Energy Shield Generator etc. Size: 21.6m length, 9m height, 6m width, 92t weight Capacity: 1 person Motif: Lion The toy version Shield Liger design. A blue lion-type Zoid that leads the Republic Army High-Speed Combat Force. While it is a large-scale Zoid, 21.6 metres long, it boasts a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Its two Laser Sabres equipped as fangs have the power to easily pierce even the armour of large-scale Empire Zoids, and particularly in melee battles, it displays high combat power. (Oh, and I hear the Cloud Ocean has a much higher density of enemies, which would give G-cluster players an advantage in events )

It's a shame to hear Cloud Ocean has an advantage, but I am determined! A little sad, though, to see the huge head in the profile picture. I sure hope that's just the angle. I also hope you manage to catch a break on one of the events sooner or later, though! Thanks for the translations on the Shieldy.
I'll probably update this post a couple times to track my progress so that I have a better idea of competition in the future.
(Japan Time) June 5th, 11:50pm 37th Place. Score: 1625 June 5th, 02:02am 31st Place. Score: 2062 June 5th, 04:45am 25th Place. Score: 2761 June 5th, 05:26am 20th Place. Score: 2977 Yay! Got my leaderboard screenie. Now I can sleep. Also there are two 17th places so my screenie lies and says that I'm 19, buuuut.
I wonder HOW Much of an advantage you get in Cloud Ocean? I've been at 25th place for a while, playing actively. I was after 20th place, occupied by Tutti with 2785 kills (I had 2663.) In the time it took me to do just 2 runs, Tutti was bumped off by someone with 2900 kills? That's 200 kills in less than 5 minutes? Unless the leaderboard isn't a live update. I'm hoping that's the case.
