I wish I had VS 3, but I know I'm very happy with Battle Legends (VS 2.5). As a rule, I usually pilot a black Gojulas with three Ultra Zs, but I really have the most fun when I'm using either a stock Command Wolf or Rev Raptor; makes the game much more interesting.

I know a seller who i got it from who might still have some copies.PM me if interested.

VS 3 was much better than Infinity. I sorta miss how in the first VS, when you fired a Charged Particle Cannon it would freeze the other Zoids.
@ Meltdownkoopa, It would have been cool to have a VS 4, maybe with more flying Zoids.

I have Battle Legends as well as Vs III, haven't played either in a while. I had a Gairyuki Destroy that I tended to use in VS, and a Sturm Tyrann for Battle Legends.

I have VSII and VSIII. They're good for passing the time, not much more to say. I prefer a stock zero Phoenix.

Just busted out the Wii for the first time in a year and cut through the entire New Century battlemode using a Rev Raptor equipped with a speed booster. It felt GOOD.

That is pretty close to what I use. I have a blacked out Liger Zero X with three Z boosters to max out the performance on Battle Legends. I can usually take out an entire VS set in under ten minutes, be it the anime, battle story, or slash zero stories! Just unfold the blades, energize on a pass, and obliterate whatever you are running against. On the big dogs I just point them forward and shoot until dead.

That does sound a little too easy though. Not much opportunity to develop piloting skills if you can just cut through a Gojulas in one go, lol

(I realise the thread is old but it's still on the front page and I don't see many other places to talk about Zoids unfortunately)
I have battle legends and I have to say I absolutely HATED IT. A Zoid game has so much potential and the vs series didn't act on it at all. They could have made it so much better than it was. Having some of the anime voices and music for example, having a better combat system I mean, all you need is a Command Wolf with a long range rifle, win every time. Even as a Zoids fan who at the time was desperate to play a Zoids game and had to import it from America I was so disappointed with it.

I thought the homing missiles had been way too overpowered. That and the worst aiming system in existence

I actually found the story mode way too hard in places. That mission where you have to sneak onto a base, snipe the cannon turrets, then get yourself inside and hop up onto a platform where the iron kongs can't insta kill you, then... your only sniper zoid available is ill-equipped to fight them. Then later the opposite happened and you had a mission full of tiny invisible helcats and your only options were poorly-armed huge zoids with little maneuverability in this cramped arena, and no place to hide. But I realllly loved it other than that.

Jeez it's been a while hasn't it? Any of you guys have a a modded Wii and/or Wii U, because there are ways to play ZOIDS VS III with no text glitches, 480p and widescreen natively (in other words, no emulation). Just get the Homebrew Channel, CleanRip (if you have a GCN compatible Wii and want to do it the legal way), Nintendon't, a SD Card (preferably the fastest speed around) and a Gamecube Adapter if you're playing on Wii U. All of these things are just one Google search away. You can't use the Gamepad to control the game but you can use a bunch of other controller options like the Wii U Pro Controller and Wii Classic Controller.
