Ok, I've played it over and over, and I still can't figure out a winning strategy for the second level/map on Zoids Assault, it's as if they made the difficulty level on this one further than what your experience could be, I mean really, it's the second mission, it shouldn't be as hard as it is.
I have tried all kinds of combinations to get past the enemy, but it always seems like they already know where I'm at, and this was supposed to be a stealthy mission in where you don't want to be seen for a while, and yet they know exactly where to go to find you. Along with that, they have weapons and other equipment far more advanced than my zoids, and to top it off once I have them down to 2 zoids they bring in 3 reinforcements, which I believe is unfair and uncalled for this early on, especially when I don't get any myself.
I looked on IGN, but they don't have any walkthroughs or hints to help me, so I was wondering ifn by any chance there might be somebody on here who has beaten it and can give me some advice and a good strategy to get past this. I just bought the game online, and I don't want it to go to waste just because of one level.

From IGN Review:
It seems like it would have served both the game and the Zoids franchise much better if they managed to work in other Zoid types and models. Let me unlock new characters (and give them personality!) with new weapons and abilities. It would hopefully create incentive to keep going, something that this game is sorely missing.
Once you're done plodding through the clunky menu screens and outfitting your Zoids with their armor, weapons and skills it's time to take to the battlefield. Here you'll find a standard grid-based movement system. The game does a decent job of running you through a couple of tutorial missions that introduce you to the Support Count mechanic and the EMP weapon, but later missions leave you a little stranded as to how to proceed. The end result is a sort of trial and error affair that includes plenty of mission restarts after long, drawn-out losses.
Positioning your Zoids properly and getting the enemy in your sights can be rewarding when you strategize properly. Positioning your Zoids and predicting where your enemy will move can be critical to earning a victory, something that those who are rookies to the genre will find quite difficult thanks to the inaccessibility of Zoids Assault. With no helpful hints to guide you, no varying levels of difficulty and briefings that speak in nothing but vagaries, Zoids Assault will eat up some time for what should be a relatively short experience given the 15 levels and lack of replayability.
Sucks man. Apparently you bought a *Watch your language!* game; or at least a very difficult one.

Yeah, I noticed, I bought the thing thinking it was gonna be an awesome zoids game with all sorts of customization and cool stuff to do, and I even didn't mind that it was going to be a strategy game, but the fact that it has little to no customization, and hardly anything to work with makes this game a disgrace to the Zoids name. The graphics are cool, the fight scenes are ok, and even the designs for the zoids themselves are pretty decent, but the gameplay, these people just do no know how to make a proper strategy game, or a zoids game for that matter...I'd tell them to go play Halo Wars and figure out how a real strategy game works. And then I'd tell them to redo the whole Zoids Assault game the right way, and put the customization in like it's supposed to be. Zoids With customization is like trying to eat a sandwich without the bread, it just doesn't work out.

Zoids Legacy and Zoids VS. actually have a good amount of customizing that you can do. And you get to choose your Zoids. Pick up a copy if you can. You'll be glad you did.

Yeah, only one problem, they are only for the handheld systems, I have an Xbox 360, a PS3, and a Wii, so that wont help me. However, the old Battle Legends game was pretty good, so I plan to get a few gc controllers for my wii and buying that again.
