Anyone else find this game to be hard? I'm stuck in mission 2 on both Republic and Imperial. I'm not very good with slower zoids.

Mission Two - EmpireZoid: Sinker Equipment:Weapons - ARZ B-Gun, Guided Torpedo , AZ50mm WB-CannonOption - Shield SINSubparts - Protect Armour, Search Radar, Z-Plug AlphaEnemies: Cannon Tortise x2, Molga x3 Allies: Saber Tiger Take down the enemy Molgas first, since their STA Missiles can take you down fairly quickly. If you start to attack the Molgas, your Ally should go for the Cannon Tortise. Attack the Molgas from up close to avoid being bombarded with missiles. Attack them with the AZ50mm WB-Cannon since it's the most damaging weapon you have other than your Guided Torpedos. Be weary of Physical Attacking them, because this will leave you open to attacks from the Cannon Tortise. Watch for stray missiles from the Cannon Tortise, though, as they will also take you down in a hurry. Use the shield to quickly protect yourself, but don't leave it on more than needed. When you're through with the Molgas in your area, go for the Cannon Tortise. Attack from long range with the Guided Torpedos. Your Ally should have already weakened the Cannon Tortise. Dodge any oncoming missiles from Cannon Tortise. Raise your shield and ram the Cannon Tortise with it when possible. Don't use EX attacks on Molgas, just on Cannon Tortises. Use the same stragtey on the new Cannon Tortise and any remaining Molgas. --- Mission Two - RepublicZoid: Command Wolf Equipment: Weapons - AZ50mm WB-Cannon, Weapon Binder Option - Assistance Boosters Sub Parts - Protect Armour, Search Radar, Z-Plug AlphaEnemies - Saber Tiger, Sinkers Take out the Saber Tiger first, since it's the closest Zoid to you. Use your Weapon Binder for long range hits. As you get closer, change to your AZ50mm WB-Cannon. Circle him, dodging whenever he attempts an attack. By the time you finish off the Saber Tiger, at least one Sinker should have made it close to your location. Take it out with your Cannon if it's close. Use the Weapon Binder if it's not quite to you yet. Keep moving, because it's usually just firing weapons. After you destroy the Sinker, use your Assistance Boosters to catch up with the other two. Chances are, they are on the other side of the facility. After you get close enough, use your Weapon Binder to fire long range. Dodge any Torpedos if they are fired. Keep moving. Don't bother using your physical attack, because they will just move at the last second, leaving you open for attack. If Sinkers keep regenerating, then destroy some of the Gas Tanks. (you'll know what I'm talking about, they explode when hit.) --- Republic Guide - EmpireI did this about a million years ago, so I don't know how well it's going to work now. I never did get around to finishing them, either, so you will probably be better off using GameFAQs if you need a lot of help.

Rather than make a new topic I figured i'd reply here. I just picked up battle legends the other day finally and got to try it out on the wii. It seems to me that the mission mode is blisteringly, awfully hard on most levels. You usually have either no help at all or next to useless AI help, are out numbered 2 or 3 to 1, and always have inferior equipment to run with. My friend and I finally gave up on the empire campaign after like lvl 3. We've managed to push through several levels on the republic side, and i'm finding that it really makes a huge difference what you choose for a zoid. It especially helps once you know, you unlock some half decent crap to use.
He was stuck on this one level where you have to fight 2 on 1 against something with a LOT more armor than you (won't go into specifics so I don't give out spoilers) and a lot more firepower. Well come to find out, he wasn't using the right tool for the job. I looked over his list of available zoids and add ons, told him what to use and he ran through it in one go. He doesn't know anything about zoids at all, so he didn't know what zoid was best at what or weak really. Then the next level against a huge boss like thing had us peeing our pants at the prospect of trying to beat it with our 2 retardo AI pals, but we got it on the first go thanks to a proper choice of equip.
But there were several levels he spent hours on trying to get past a blisteringly impossible level with the crappy starting zoids.
And what's up with the friendly AI man? They come running over to help you, only to damage the crap out of you with a badly aimed melee attack. Versus is fun though and I adore cruising around in the revy. I can't wait to try out all the stuff that gets unlocked.

I find a couple Empire missions to be ludicrously hard, even on my third time playing through. Especially at the beginning, where you're given crap Zoids. The Republic is easier - I pretty much use the Cannon Tortoise most of the way through, switching once to use Dibison's EX against two Iron Kongs, and then the Gojulas Giga in the last couple non-boss battles. I may have used Giggles on the final boss as well, but I don't recall.

I've found the game to be somewhat difficult but when you get more money you can get better zoids, better equips etc but thats just for the Tournament mode, if you want to do the regular Imperial and Republic battles you're stuck with getting whatever the game feels like giving you I'm afraid :S

dano has the right idea about how to beat the missions.the reason they are so hard is because the zoids suck. if you get zoids vs 3 then mission mode is a breeze because your first zoid is a rayse tiger. it costs 230,000 bp in battle mode so you can judge its effectiveness based on that alone.

I prefer my games hard, though really, I don't think the Battle Legends missions were hard enough.
Tell you what though, you get me a Zoids VS III for less than $50 USD, and I'll play it.
