Believe it, I got the Reflections Special Edition. The figures, though slutty, are beautifully crafted. Kotona is, as always, skimpily dressed and strikingly posed. Re-Mie appears to be 'enjoying herself', but her hand isn't actually touching. I cannot actually review the DVDs, as they're Region 2. As usual, the Genesis girls are once again fanserviced out, making them still the most merchandised characters in the Zoids universe. I also can't help but wonder why they keep making Re look the way she does, considering she's only like 12.

Yep, lolicon is one part of the Japanese print culture... But you (I mean everyone out there) has the choice to say no to that. I am no big fan of lolicon, I get drawn to high school romance (hetro for me). This is personal preference, but there should be a clear fine line for what's right and what's wrong.

So, are the two designed to complete a single figure-type thing? Kotona's arms resting on Re Mie's back? *Notices what appear to be connectors on Kotona's stand.*

I haven't opened them, but looking at their stands it is obvious they interlock. The stands form a heart with Kotona behind Re.

VLC Media Player should play any DVD, any region, barring a few with really STUPID menus/layout. I find it works better when you open the DVD without menus and navigate yourself, though.

UPDATE TIME! If your comp hates pics, leave now. First things first, Re is not fondling herself. The arm came loose during shipping and thats just how it got stuck. She's actually giving a thumb's up. front view front, Re focus overhead The statues are very solid and good quality. I'd love to see these guys do the Genesis girls in their regular attire, or even the second string characters that seem to have been forgotten. Here's the DVD cases, front and back. It's pretty easy to tell whose is who. Here's the DVDs themselves. Each one comes with a (disturbing) postcard sized piece of artwork featuring Kotona and Re. The artist must of had an attack of decency for Vol. 2, because Re's undies are bleached out. an added bonus, both DVDs come with a music CD. Each one has a song on it, plus that song's instrumental. Verdict: The statues are showy, but no worse than any others, and are of high quality. The music's beautiful, I only wish they had more songs. I still haven't watched the DVDs, but so far, I have to recommend the set to anyone thats a fan of the gals.

Weird... I obtained Reflections through means I won't say here, and it claimed that it had a DVD side and a CD side. Never could get the CD to work, but I assumed it was the music. As for the DVD side, it was two very frightening music videos, I think both of which are Genesis endings. But seeing that there are two volumes, and not double-sided but rather two-disc, I wonder what's up with mine...

Whoa... I think you broke my brain. That's about a thousand times trippier than the one I saw XD The one I had was just the Genesis endings with Kotona and Rei Mii. At least one was; I haven't watched far enough to see if the second one is too The trippy one is like an acid trip. The ones I saw paralyzed me with fear, and I laughed though I felt like crying... Garaga and rainbows? WTF?!

I finally got a chance to watch the DVDs, and I figured that it would be valid to update this thread instead of starting a new one.
As one might imagine from the title reflections, the DVD set is an abridged telling of the genesis storyline by re-Mie and Kotona Elegance. Though i can't speak Japanese, it's apparent that the concept of these videos is the idea that Re and Kotona have decided to watch their own tv series and make comments on it. Its fairly cute, especially when Re starts freaking out over seeing how intimate Kotona got with Ruugi during their first meeting. My original judgement stands: If you like Re and kotona, go ahead and get the set. Otherwise, ignore. You won't miss a thing.
