That's the regular chin armor far as I can tell. It just looks funny 'cause it's clear, and thus is showing off normally hidden detail (check the back of a base Zero's chin piece, it's got lines). The X's is much more flared and pointy.

And it's Hiou, not Hou. Though I'm not sure what the Hiou is...

I sure HOPE it wouldn't come with clear CASs... I mean.. clear plastic is brittle enough just assembling the model, let alone switching out armors

Though I think this would come with its own special armor, much like Souga did.

Clear red = ugly.
Blue eyes = very nice!

I'm sure it's redder in person, but from the pic it looks brownish.

Actually all the most recent zoids using clear plastic of late have been fairly durable, much unlike the older versions (though I should put it on the record that my Zoids2 Redwing had very pliable plastic for it's wings).

And yes, from what I've read there will most likely be a special armour for this though not bundled in with it. That's the "Hiou" bit.

That pink/red tinge reminds me of some of the salt crystals/flakes that I've seen in some fine-dining restaurants... X3

I think I've seen enough Liger Zoids of any variety (as cool as Souga is, though) for a long while. Still, if it does come with clear CAS's, I'm hoping they're not the same colour as that Liger (Panzer or Schneider would be cool). :3

Orders for it opened up a couple of days ago (it would appear to be available to order on Dengeki's website), will remain open till the 24th of October. Costs 3,300 yen and is due out in January.
