I spoke to Tomy's careline earlier today and asked if there were any plans to re-release any Zoids or Zoids Genesis for the UK.
The lady said they had been discontinued some time back and i said that i was asking to report on a Zoids dedicated website (she didn't even ask which one) to see if there were future plans. She then put me on hold and asked her manager.
He stated that THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR UK RELEASE OF ZOIDS FROM TOMY UK. I asked how far the schedule was in advance and i was told 2 years minimum.
I'm not surprised really but alittle bummed out at the same time.
UK fans don't hold your breathe for Genesis... back to e-bay dammit.

I sent an e-mail months ago to tomy UK, not long after genesis had began airing and dath daniel had come out withthe rumour that genesis was gonna get dubbed for the US market, basically detailing where that went completly wrong withthere marketing strategy and product avaliability in the uk, and also set forward a proposal ona new genesis based marketing campain, suggesting which stores to market to, what channels to pitch there related anime to and other assorted crap that was completely opposite to what they had done.
and they told me that zoids were discontinued 8 months previously however no official announcement on there discontinuation had been made. Tomy have no current plans to reinstate the line in the future in th UK, however i will forward your corispondance to the marketing department. and i thought year right, but then a couple of days later i got and e-mail form the tomy marketing guy, basically saying that tomy appreciate that some mistakes were made in the marketing of zoids in the uk, and that feedback on campains, and however TOmy UK have no plans to release zoids in the uk inthe future,
all in all it was a flat nope nomore zoids in the UK. WHich was what every one was getting at the time.

But good old Sky One for showing it when they can.
I was pleasently surrprised at the care they took with my call but i guess i really knew what they were going to say....
A shame.

yeah good on sky one a channel not fammed for having childrens programmes, showing it at an un godly hour when i'm either at work at that tim eor in bed, .
but were not going in to that TV debate again lol.

Ok, no TV talk.
The UK seems almost a void when it comes to Zoids. Not even TK Maxx has them any more.

yeah but they ahve those cool SD gundams woot! lol
yeah its a zoid void, the only place that has any are some TRUs and even then its like £20 beserk furys, nellyfanders and gigas, and i 've got alla them, from TRU infact.

Is sad, but not unexpected.
On a similar subject, I e'd Sky asking if they had plans to show Fuzors or Genesis,
I got a nice e back, shame that it said that they had no plans to.
Would've thought that they might, as they seem to run CC/NCO fairly regularly....

Guess I have to wait till Collectormania 9 till i can get another fix of Zoids - am desperate for some spare parts, plus another Liger Zero and Gairyuki (wanna spray 'em red).

Where is Collectomania 9 held ? I missed out in the TRU stock of Berserk Furys, but did get GG, Elephander, Gustav and another GG last week  |

its in milton keynes, from what i can tell milton jenes has a quite large zoider population, well most of the ones on here come from there.
Collectomanina seems to be one othe biggest collectors conventions in the uk.
we should organise a uk zoider convy, you can play the bandit lol, and other zoiders can join on the way downt he uk lol.
