But it's true. Liger Zero is probably the most well known Zoids..

Yeah, but like all the other games show people and other freaking Zoids. They shouldn't have to do that for a Japanese game. It just shows a lack of effort. I bet the game will suck...

Wow, that cover art absolutely sucks, and the liger on the front looks horrible anyways. It does have Live though. That might be a plus...

Aye, the artwork is toss.
Bet it won't be available for UK Xbox360s either. Which will mean I won't bother getting one for some time if at all.

Making a news topic about a topic that's already been said that the topic starter even commented in, wow XD
At any rate the cover art is lame yes. A slight bit better than the Battle Legends cover but still lame compared to the other Zoids Game covers.
As for the game itself, it's a port of the arcade game Infinity with a couple of extra additions in the form of new characters and a couple of new zoids. In fact the only new zoid that I've actually seen is the Hayate Liger, the arcade version seems to already have Murasame. Online play seems to be a "bonus" but it's worth noting that the arcade version goes online too (and there are many tournaments held by Tomy and such) so rather than a bonus, the inclusion of it is more of a no brainer. Note that you will need the Gold Live service to be able to play.
The game is also not that great with an extremely meagre selection of zoids and a seemingly odd way of progressing through your zoids (the website shows a tree of which zoids lead to which). The graphics are extremely sub-par for a game of it's level and though it's a port I wouldn't think it'd be so hard to make the graphics even slightly better. With the addition of possibly an amount of zoids in the single digits (and those zoids will turn up on the arcade version anyway) it just seems a bit lazy to me.
The only real thing this game has going for it is the Limited Geno Blox which also comes with parts to make it into a Psycho Genosaurer, too bad it's first run only.

Making a news topic about a topic that's already been said that the topic starter even commented in, wow XD Well, this is the first we've seen of the artwork so think of it as a new topic for the cover art. You don't always have to be so negative you know. -Phenotype

So far it's just XBOX 360. And I'm sure that's all it'll be.

You don't always have to be so negative you know. -Phenotype So the "XD" smily didn't give any connotation of the statement being made in good humor I take it then. My apologies then as I wasn't trying to be negative, rather just show how amusing it was to me. The fact that I didn't dwell on the matter I thought would've helped pushed that point. There's also the fact that I summed up the matter as a whole rather than simply rant, even adding points that weren't present in the original thread. It's not like I called him any names or dwelled on the matter or anything. At any rate I forgot to mention that the Zoids in Infinity seem to have been "balanced" so that no one zoid will have any clear superiority over others. This I'm very much welcoming (though I imagine some people would have gripes with this as some people don't seem to like having zoids "tampered" with) as it means that you can actually pick a style you like and go with it instead of having to pick a group of certain zoids in order to be able to play the game with impunity. There's also ongoing modifications to the zoids' stats so as to prevent any "broken" zoids from appearing on the scene as I imagine that even with the "balanced" stats there will be "tiers" ala beat em ups. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find stats for the newer additions to Infinity as the section of the site that has the stats doesn't appear to have been updated in quite some time. The only page I can find with all the zoids on it though shows the "progression" trees and clicking on a zoid's picture will show you what parts can be equipped and stuff and also how the stats have changed. Energy Liger's energy capacity it still ridiculous though.... 2/5 for Energy Usage and 5/5 for Energy Recovery >_>
