In this case, sheets of the plastic used in model kits. Very useful for scratch building your own parts, or adding detail to parts that you've stolen form somewhere else. I'll take some pics as I'm doing it so you all can see what I'm up to.

All right, I think there is a language misunderstanding there. What is styrene ? Lionel In this context, 'styrene' is slang for POLYstyrene, a hard and cheap plastic. *Actual* styrene is a toxic liquid, possibly carcinogenic. French possibly hasn't adopted the slang term because *actual* styrene got a lot of news time a few years ago when an Italian tanker dumped a whole lot of it on France's coast. Or something.

Thanks. Well, it is looking like what I am using too. On my side, it is 2 meters plastic rod that I cut the size and the shape I want. I'm still inside the part searching. The engine is finished, now I need to put a body around.

Miss Tilly, can i clarify something? "- As per tradition and for the sake of fairness (seeing something early on might influence voting oddly, and people work at their own pace), you may NOT post pictures/teasers for your custom on this forum or any other website until the contest is over and voting has begun. If you're caught doing so, you're disqualified." may i clarify this rule - shouldn't this be "YOU'RE ENTRY IS DISQUALIFIED." (and not necessarily ME?") i mean, since i disposed some info about my custom, that custom idea is also trashed - however, i can still make new custom and shut myself up untl the contest season ends. this has been an issue last year, so may iask to be mre specific w/ this rule. thank you very much -ghe

You know, that was carried over from the old contest rules. So...my personal stance is that spilling too much stuff by accident/enthusiasm would equal the custom being disqualified, but if you're found, say, posting the thing early on another forum being all "hey, guys, voting will start in a week, be sure to pick me", then you wouldn't be allowed to compete period. I don't think anyone would do that, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Unfortuneatly, I realized I made a bad choice: I picked a very unique zoid, while trying to do the whole "make it so no one will know what is was" plan...I say one part, you'll be all over me on it...crap. And the bloody peg broke while I was removing a piece! GAAHH!! ~~~~ Another Q: If I happen to use a primer that is grey colored, and I want that area to be grey, it won't count against me, right? (Short: Grey Primer can count as a color, right?)

(Short: Grey Primer can count as a color, right?) Grey paint would probably look better...

(Short: Grey Primer can count as a color, right?) Grey paint would probably look better... It depends of the effect you want to realize. A grey primer can be interesting for used armor parts, of mecanism. On my side I wouldn't do that, because I'm always creating Zoids like how they could be when they are put out of the box and built. Well, the body is progressing, but it is still hard to find good parts for it. I will probably do some paint tomorrow, to think of something else. if we are not under the rain, or worst, the snow...
