So many fantastic entries, excelling in different areas in different ways. I still haven't decided which to vote for, but here are my thoughts thus far:
** AZ-002 Treachery Liger by Abbadon
I'm really struck by the difference between side and overhead views of this zoid. It looks like two completely different zoids, both of which are beautifully constructed and painted. It has the perfect balance of spiky and sleek.
** Tiger Rump by adamassc
The colour choice on this zoid was a bold move, but I think it was a risk that paid off. It looks positively poisonous. Although the paint job at the front of the cannon barrel is not perfect, the cannon on the whole looks exceptional.
** Proto Rayse Liger by Alteka
You had me at green. If it wasn't for the amazing paint effects, I'd think I was looking at a stock Tomy zoid that I've never seen before! It's hard to believe that something so beautiful could be birthed from a Hayate!
** Wolftron by Chainer
OMG VOLTRON/ZOIDY GOODNESS! The idea alone is incredibly appealing. The fact that Chainer has implemented it so well is a real testament to his skill as well as imagination, not to mention sense of humour! Turning the König's sniper rifle into a blazing sword is inspired
** Custom CP-11 by Charlie
Although it's a simple idea and it would benefit from a cohesive painting strategy, you can see what Charlie was going for here, and it's a really neat idea. It would be good to see some more pictures of various other configurations, especially the two winged modes. I suspect they look very cool.
** Burner Fury by Darkguard
Needs... better... pictures! These don't show off the customised backpack, which is the bit that needs to be shown off. It looks like the red boostery things are probably integrated well into the backpack, but without a view that shows them off it's hard to know. Likewise, the weapon arms seem cool, but we cannot see them.
** Imperial Tyranno by Darkness Fury
The colour scheme is magnificent, and it's got super-powerful bionic arms (just like Zachary Foxx from Galaxy Rangers!) It's a shame that the pictures are a little blurry, because this zoid seems like it would look pretty good in a close-up.
** Terra Kong by Darth Daniel
Now that's a good looking munky. It looks like it would be as at home in a game of american football as on planet Zi! The contours and the paint are done so well that they look effortless, but it's clear that a phenomenal amount of skill went into this zoid. The orange head is surprisingly effective!
** Liger Zero XX Jinraiya Special by Deadguy
This zoid has the feel of a craggy old warrior! I'd like to see some more pictures of the weapons deployed, but these ones do make the zoid look like it's bristling with barely held-in-check ferocity. I really like the dark greens and golds, but the white on the back legs seems out of place. The caps also seem mismatched.
** LDCW (Long Distance Command Wolf) by Default Peanut
The gun is too small.
** Megas Wolf by Epyon
This zoid just drips style. The blade is very cool, and the design and colour of the armour are packed with flair. The tiny feet makes it remind me of a ballerina, albeit a heavily armed ballerina with a big-ass scary sword
** Rhimos Mercury by ghe
It's shiny and overgunned, and the concept for the multi-beam unit is pretty neat. At first I thought the beam unit was two felt-tip pens! But the additional photos showed how cool it looks from slightly above. I'd really like to see a fully overhead shot of the entire unit, with wings deployed.
** Fire Kylin by Gojulas Omega
Yep - I'd buy that that's a Kylin! It looks very regal, with a sweet paint job, and resisting the urge to use the claws as weapons shows great restraint!
I particularly like the design of the ears.
** Command Wolf Pyre Storm by Gun Liger
The weathering is very nice, the guns are well done and the story is excellent, but the thing that screams out at me for this zoid is the head design. It really is awesome, and totally captures the concept of excessive speed and death-risk piloting!
** Gojulas Giga MK-II (Prototype) by Hi Docker!
The nose machine guns make it look like the zoid needs a hanky! It's very impressive the way that you've made the bulky crate mounted on the zoid's back look like it belongs there, and the use of tubes is extremely effective. Nasal hygiene issues aside, this zoid really is awesome.
** Demolition Wolf by Juno Unit
I really like how well this all fits together. I think it manages to capture the theme of the Liger Zero Panzer, but implement it in a way that looks much better than LZP - retaining the lithe form of the Command Wolf even with compact overgunned frivolity.
** Benthic Katerkiller by KAndrw
My mum says it's cool. Even offered to register with the forum and vote for it! Good old mum.
** Deathplodocus by Königbreaker
For a huge-looking zoid, this guy has an incrediable amount of posability, not to mention an obscene number of guns! I don't think the pictures really do it justice, so it would be great to see some higher resolution/closer in shots. So many guns.
** Snipe Master MkII Prototype by Kyubigan
I like how you've protected the gunner with a roof over his head. It seems that gunners always get neglected in Zoid designs - the one on a Trooperzoid sits at a 70 degree angle with no protection whatsoever! The active shields are nicely implemented and you've managed to avoid making them look too bulky.
** EMZ 39 ZAVENGA by Lionel
This zoid is truly gorgeous. Lionel has totally captured the spirit of the OER molluscs, and I can't help but smile to think of the Zavenga dragging around other zoids, bobbing up and down with its molga chassis. I would love to see a diorama of a single Scavenger and several Zavengas picking through a battlefield
** Geno Breaker (E.R.C.C) Spectre by ped
The only thing I don't like about this zoid is the head-mounted rifle - it just looks slightly out of place to me. In *every* other respect, this zoid is a true work of art. Like Adamassc's Tiger Rump, the orange on this zoid highlights just how lethal it would be, and fits perfectly.
** Shiny Happy Death Giggles by rantinan
The paint job is lurid, but it is *exceptionally* lurid, and somehow (god help me) it works. I would have liked to see an uncropped picture of the whole zoid, to fully appreciate the magnificent excess of the Leopold. I particularly like the attention paid to the backdrop, and the laugh-out-loud story.
** BIO-RHADAMANTHYS by raul
This is exactly what a bio-Kraak ought to look like! I've always had a soft spot for Kraak's tipsy, lumbering antics, and I am blown away by how excellent this looks. The wings capture the ragged skeletal-ness of the original, then take the idea somewhere much darker, and considerably more awesome!
** EZ-0 [RZ-007] Shield Liger CAS by RaVeMaSter_VaN
The pictures are a little dark and there is too much detail lost at low resolution, but after checking out the other pix on RaVeMaSter_VaN's blogspot... Woah. That is some seriously devoted design work. The hydraulic stabilisers are a very nice touch. I am seriously impressed by how you managed to get it to all gel together, even including a delivery system for the CAS units!
** EZ-006D-DAU Desert Molga (Dual Artillery Type) by stormhawk
It's a simple idea, but an amazingly nice paint job. The molga itself looks fantastic, and the detailing on both the molga and cannons is very impressive.
** Liger Zero Stratos EZ-054S by Tyrannotaur
That's a really nice looking wing assembly - busy, but in a way that makes it look dangerous rather than excessive. The booster cannons were a nice choice of armament, and they make the zoid seem like it would be perfect for an overhead 2D shooter! The articulation in the wings is so seamlessly implemented that I didn't even notice it at first!
** Storm Gryphon by Yurei Avalon
Last but by no means least. Beautiful colour scheme, and the overhead view is very reminiscent of Gilvader. The missile platform really fits and the beam rifles are a very tasty addition. While I'm no fan of Battle Cougars, this zoid looks great, and I am a fan of this. Extra kudos for composition!
