well speeking for my self, i say ye nay to CW's and Ligers. instead I went for the most throughly overambitious project I could come up with. The fact that i have gotten well over 1/3 done in the last two weeks makes me extremly happy

so skate are yo proposing an invitation only contest. were only the best are invited. I think the only reason for CWs last time is the vast amount of them on the market. it'll probably be worse this time, the have CW,CWirvine, CW AC, CW AC fusors, theother fusors CW. The CW HT and so on. thats probably why we som any frigging L0 customs, L0, L0X, Lo pheonix ( fusors and the purple dood) liger 0 falcon, blah blah blah. enough with the cats and comand wolfs already. but sayiong that mine is gonna be a CW wit a twist.

I dont think it should be divided up into catagories (in future). Everyone is working under the same conditions and rules. The most important thing is to have fun and share the experience with others. Yes, some may be better than others, but the important thing is about the fun factor of people being able to get together and show off their hobbies to other fellow enthuisists. I do not believe in there is such a thing as a pro, unless you are being paid to do it. But you'll find if you ask around, a lot of the people you so call 'pros' still see it as a hobby, and not a job. Furthermore, people should not be discouraged if "pro(s)" enter the contest. This provides more of a challenge for you to go one step better. I personally think Gren - last year's winner has set a fairly high benchmark for all to reach. *Also, you're the scary quiet type arent you (you havent even posted up one thing on the comp forum yet) I also allows us to see the transformation of the hobby. I remember back once upon a time ago, where Zoids were just big chunks of plastic that little kids would put together, then have a Zoid bash where they'd put their Zoids up against each other (generally the larger electronic ones won) . Its like seeing the change of how the modelling hobby has changed dramatically over the years. We were once used to seeing glossly models, but now, we're seeing more semi-gloss or matt models as times change.... So, in closing, dont see this as a test. See this as an opportunity to have fun, and let your imagination and skills go wild. Good Luck to everyone who are entering in the Contest! EDIT: I personally like to think someone who is pro at something is someone who has had more experience and has spent more time and dedication to whatever the occupation is at hand.

yea, it was just a suggestion and no, jaff, i wasnt saying a comp for pros. i was saying there woulfd be an ameture and 'novice' competition. that way the really good modellers could battle it out while the bveginners tested theire skills. i know it wouldnt be that kool, just something for you guys to think about

Well I don't think being quiet means I'm scary, just means I'm quiet. Anyway I was actually thinking of dropping out of the contest since I couldn't afford the kits to do what I wanted origionally. But earlier tonight I got to playing around with ideas with the stuff I have and I think I've come up with a good alternative to do instead. Now I just need to figure out how to afford the paint (still broke). Anyway I just hope my new creation turns out to be interesting.

Hey Gren, you're not going to cannibalize the Redler you won, are you?

Well I won't say I didn't think of customizing that ;D But no, I'm not using the Redler; I'm not going to reveal what I'm making but if it turns out the way I want then it should be an interesting creation.

can a unique paint scheme be considered a customization? as in can i paint it and leave it at that?
do i have to add anything to the zoid itself?, as in any weapons, custom armors, etc?
